Personal — Refusal to accept Old Currency Exchange of Rs. 500 & 1000

Dear Sir

I Chakervarti Joshi with my wife took the flight on 12-11-16, for USA and returned to India on 08-01-17. We could not deposit currency on 10th & 11th November 2016, due to bad rush in the banks.

We went to RBI Office New Delhi on 27-01-17, and RBI officer refused to accept currency on the plea that we left on 12-11-16, after declaration of demonetization. Both o[censored]s are senior citizen. kindly help us to deposit Rs. 1, 28000/- lying with us
