Subheading: - grave concern regarding illegal and unauthorised construction on terrace of flat 27b, pocket a-14, kalkaji extension.

Sir,

My mother shrimati rana varma, owner of flat no. 27-b, pocket a-14, himgiri apartments, kalkaji extension has been living with me in australia for the last 7 years. Occupant of flat 27c which is just above our flat, is planning to construct an unauthorised structure (Room, kitchen and bathroom) on the terrace for rental purposes.

The dda, as you are aware, has banned constructing any structure on the terrace of pocket 14 a because of weak foundation, declared by "gangadhan committee report" which was presented to the vice-chairman dda. This unauthorised structure may put undue pressure on the foundation and can lead to deterioration of the building which can impact other residents in the building.

I would like to advise you that a similar complaint was made in respect to another flat 46c belonging to mr brij raj singh and the illegal structure on the terrace was demolished by you/your officers. The structure was again constructed and again demolished and was finally sealed.

Since i am submitting a very timely information to you, i would request to ensure that not even a brick is placed on the terrace of our flat, 27 b. Other residents of the building have also shown similar concern as the construction is being done without anybody's consent.

I would like also to mention that there is a practice of constructing such unauthorised and dangerous structures on saturdays/sundays/holidays.

You may recall that i am son of late s. P. Varma who was executive member for long time deserves your cooperation in stopping the illegal construction.
