Policy Bazaar — motor insurance - fraudulent practices
I had my insurance policy renewed for my car through policy bazaar. Now the issue is that car is registered in the name of my wife who is a sole proprietor of a company. During renewal, i took the policy in the name of her company as i believe both are same entity. There was no advice given by the policy bazaar agent in not to do it. The insurance was renewed. Now when my car met with an accident they have rejected the claim stating that the names do not match in the rc book and the insurance. My question is that how did they issue me a policy when there was a mismatch in the rc book and the insurance form, when they do look at these documents at the time of renewal. Isn't a deliberate attempt on the part of policy bazaar and the insurance provider (Hdfc ergo) to dupe the customer by having a reason to not pay for the insurance? Policy bazaar has washed off their hands saying that it is between me and the insurance service provider and have stopped responding to any of my emails. Was this information helpful?
