[Resolved] Pune Traffic Police — wrong challan issued
I was fined 200 inr under section 239/179 stating violation of police stop rule whereas what i had violated is nothing. The scenario - I was travelling to office from wakad, pune to hinjewadi phase 3 via bhumkar chowk using service road and as there was no free left i stopped for signal but from the other way there were heavy vehicles coming towards me and as i was at corner every vehicle was crossing road almost dashing my vehicle so to avoid i moved my bike a bit to the left and was waiting for signal and the traffic police officer came and started arguing and took my license and fined me 200 under above section without even listening. When i tried asking the reason he warned me of fining 500 instead and when i insisted that if he thinks i jumped red signal then fine me accordingly which is 100 inr but he declined. Is this the way we are progressing. Just because i asked him the reason for fine he fined me more due to ego issues. Can any rto authority answer this or is there no officer left who does his job properly. Was this information helpful?
