[Resolved]  Pureit / Hindustan Unilever — excessive charges on the parts replacement


Recently I had to change the AC DC power adapter (24V, 1.5A) in the PureIT Marvallo RO equipment. This is a simple power adapter usually costs around Rs.300 in the market, the service company was charging Rs.1800 for that part. This is 5 to 6 times more than the usual price, which is totally unacceptable. The service company was blaming HUL for this very high and unreasonable cost.

After so much deliberation, I got Rs.600 discount from the service company. I'm surprised on how come they can give 30% discount just like that.

This equipment doesn't have anything that special to be 5 times expensive maintenance like this.

PureIT / Hindustan Unilever Customer Care's response May 02, 2019 Customer was facing issue in his device, and service team informed that adapter to changed also charges they said 1800. so consumer not ready for it to pay.

Later on customer paid 1200, and problem get resolved.

So kindly request to close the case.
