PVR Cinemas — imax show cancelled due to technical issues | |||
We have booked the imax ticket for ready player one on 29.03.2018 (Show time : 08:00 pm) for pvr logix (Imax), noida. Booking time : around 2:30 pm on 29.03.2018 via bookmyshow. When we tried to book a few extra tickets, we found that the imax screens were not listed in bookmyshow website. We tried contacting the bookmyshow customer care. They said it has been taken down from pvr side. So we weren't able to reserve any more tickets. I travelled all the way from faridabad in cab spending around rs.300 and 1.5 hours just to reach there by 7.30pm. After i reached there, i received a call from pvr stating that the show has been cancelled due to technical issues. They say that they can refund the ticket expenditure. But what will be compensation for the travel expense and the time of around 3 hours that we wasted for travelling without any purpose?? I suspect that the pvr management knew very well that they were having some technical issues by afternoon. Thats why they have removed the listing of the place from the bookmyshow website. So if they knew it well in advance, why couldn't they informed us earlier? Or at least they should have informed us 3 hours before the show timing. This incident is not tolerable because they are not worried about the hassles faced by their customers. They were not even ready to provide us an alternate arrangement in any other shows. Also note that the pvr doesn' t provide us any refund when we cancel the tickets from our side. And the pathetic part is when i saw other people waiting outside the imax screen to enter. They haven't even provided a sign/notice that says the show has been cancelled. I have heard many similar instances of show cancellation in imax and 4dx screens in pvr. If they cannot rectify the issues, at least try to inform us well in advance. This is really a harassment for people travelled for more than 50km and then came back to home spending almost 3 hours of their time. I want the pvr management to refund the whole amount of the ticket and to compensate me for the travel expense and mental harassment i faced. Was this information helpful? | |||
