The Montreal Convention was triggered in the case of PNR SIXLRC as the baggage
1) did not arrive with my flight on 04.07.2022
2) wrongly delivered on 09.07.2022 to an address which was clearly indicated as not my current address beyond 06.07.2022, without calling in beforehand and verifying even after repeatedly informing Nagpur staff and reminding them of my PNR (where onward flights and start and end destination were clearly mentioned)!
3) The baggage was sent with an additional "PRIORITY" payment and the transit time in Doha was more than 3 hours
Qatar Airways, after multiple contacts through, is saying they will only refund USD 150 which doesn't even cover cost of essentials purchased during the time luggage was delayed. I had to return to India to pick up luggage myself!! Was this information helpful? |
