[Resolved] Quikr — Cheated seller in doorstep delivery | |||||
A payment was made by a buyer on 21st April for my white color Apple iPhone 32GB, and pickup was scheduled between on the 23rd, but the pickup guy was a no-show. Then I complained to customer care regarding the same that very evening, after which i got a call the next day to reschedule for the 25th. The guy came at around 2 pm, verified the item, gave me an acknowledgement slip, and went on his merry way. A few hours later he calls to tell me that there was a duplicate request for pickup for the same item, and then informs me that he will cancel the duplicate request. Shortly after, both the buyer and I receive a message stating that our order has been cancelled and that the item will be returned to me and the buyer's money refunded. I then found out that there is no way to track my package or the payment on the site since it has been cancelled. I once again called customer care and apprised them of the same, and asked what would happen next. The customer care executive assured me that I would get my payment a day or two after delivery, which was done on the 28th. Between the 29th and 3rd of May, I called Quikr everyday as I sensed something just wasn't right, and I kept getting different reasons every time I called. Once I was told the payment has been initiated and the cash will be credited within 3 working days, once I was told that the payment initiation was never done, and once I told that nothing will be done because it's a long weekend. Finally, after leaving negative feedback for my transaction on the 2nd of May, a guy called me on the 3rd and asked why I left negative feedback. I told him it's been a week since the buyer got the phone but I haven't received the payment. Then he tells me that the order was cancelled and the buyer will be refunded his money. Like what the hell, now the buyer will have my phone and the money as well? How is this fair to a person who is putting their trust in a website, which seems like it's into doing nothing more than scamming unassuming customers. These people have charged us both a convenience fee of several hundred rupees each, while managing to inconvenience me so much, and also wasting my time and money to find out what is going on. I read some of the complaints on this site, and many of them are pure stupidity as they got duped by some bogus ad posted by a third party and are blaming quikr for it. But, in my case, I'm suffering for no other reason than the incompetence of Quikr's logistic & accounting team, and everyone inbetween.
