[Resolved]  Rana Cabs — Refund not initiated even after 45 days

I booked an Urban Cruiser on Rent from Rana Cabs Chandigarh from 31st March to 2nd April 2023. I was asked for a security deposit of INR 5000 at the time of booking which is refundable after 15 days of returning the car. I obliged and paid them the security deposit. Then their scam began, after 15 days there was no initiation of refund or update about why it is delayed. I contacted them and they said it'll be done next 1 or 2 days. Days became week and week became month. But they paid zero heed to the request. Every-time same reply will be done today. We have the payment ready it'll be done by today evening. But all those confirmations were just to ignore the request and pass time. They stopped replying to my messages on Whatsapp and stopped taking calls as well, until I contacted their other number. Today I am writing this because it has taken a toll on my mental health and the audacious reply I got today was that it'll be done today and if not done please connect again around 7:30PM. And a pattern which I noticed was that they turn off their refund phone number after 7PM. Another incident was that when I said I shall come to your office to collect the refund on Saturday then they said that it'll be done on Saturday and if not done come on Sunday and it'll be processed. But on Sunday the person who handles refunds doesn't come, which they confirmed on Sunday while I about to leave for their office and called them to confirm. This shows how little to no value and respect they have for the customers and their time.
I have screenshots of the chats and number of calls I made to this company. If you need them to verify my claim, let me know.
Only resolution I request is the Refund. Because it was the last time I and our traveler community booked a car from any Rental platform. A suggestion to fellow readers. Rent cars from your friends or known people then these companies if you do not want to go through this trauma and becoming a beggar for your own money.
