RBL Bank — annual fees charged for credit card which is not in use

Dear sir,
Myself m s alam, holding a rbl bank super maxima card (Credit card no : 5256xxxxxxxx1829).
I would like request you to kindly cancel my credit card no : 5256xxxxxxxx1829 as i am highly dissatisfied and disappointed from your service and the way your support & backend executive has treated me during last few months. Here are the consequences:
1. This card (Card no - 5256xxxxxxxx1829) is issued to me during the month of jan-2018, earlier i was using some other rbl card (The last four digits of that card was: 2225 as i don’t remember all the digits). I was getting many calls that as being a valuable customer rbl is offering you to upgrade your existing card to super card as it has many additional features. The way your executive has represented it to me, i got convinced and accepted to upgrade the card to super maxima card.
2. We received the card and happily i started using it. After some time i destroyed my existing rbl card (Having last four digits : 2225) and continued using this newly delivered credit card (5256xxxxxxxx1829) without knowing that very soon rbl is going to destroy my all happiness.
3. I was getting two statements alert sms, one for new super card (5256xxxxxxxx1829) with all new transactions done with this card and the second one for old card (Which i had already destroyed, last four digits : 2225) with the emi which was done earlier with that old cards. I thought since we have some emi with that old cards that’s why i am getting that separate bill for that card.
Imp: please note that i am very regular in making the payment every months by due date.
4. Finally when i got the sms alert for the billing period 18jun18 to 17jul18 for that old card (Which i had already destroyed, last four digits : 2225), it was much more than my expectation/calculation. So i downloaded the bill statement and checked the details. I found that there is a card annual charges of rs: 2400 (Approx).
5. I tried to called customer care executives many times, and finally after trying 3-4 days i got the chance to speak to the representative. When i requested him, i was surprise from his statement as h was saying that “your both the cards are active and you can use any of the cards for your all types of transactions. But both cards are using the same credit limit jointly. This is the reason rbl has charged an annual charges”. When i said that but i have already destroyed my old card (Last four digit : 2225) and why i should use multiple cad on same credit limit jointly and will be paying annual charges separately. He said i such case you must raised a request for card cancellation. I replied him since i was not aware about this this that both card will be active on the same credit limit, hence i did not gave any cancellation request.
6. Further i requested him to please take request for card cancellation now and revert the annual charges billed to me. He replied it can not be possible now. If you want to do so, first you will have to pay the current total billed amount and secondly you will need to pre-close all your balance emi on this old card.
7. As per the conversation, i paid the total billed amount, though it became one late due to all these tensions but i paid it.
8. After that i was relaxed that now the annual charges billed wrongly will be reverted back and the next bill i get all the emi pre-closed. But when i got the next bill, i found nothing has been done, neither the annual charges has been reverted nor the emi has been pre-closed.
9. I tried to customer care again and after many trail, i was able to speak to the executive. I explained him everything and also explained him my earlier discussion and commitment by rbl executive and requested him please listen the recorded conversation to validate it. I also requested him.
10. He listened me patiently and confirmed me that, “sir you don’t worry, we will work on this and needful will be done. We will deactivate/cancel your old card as it is still showing active in our system. We will revert back the annual charges billed to you and since you have suffered due rbl, your balance emi will be adjusted against the reversal amount of annual charges which you have already paid. So you please do not pay any money.
11. I was so happy and thank full to rbl that they really listen to customer. But my happiness again flushed out by rbl very soon, as i got the sms alert that your card cancellation request was rejected. When i called to customer care executive, he assured me, don’t worry sir it is under process and you will get a call back for the same.
12. Few days later i again called back and came to know that the cancellation request has been rejected with a reason “customer is not responding”. But the fact is, i never got a call from rbl, rather i called two time to customer care to know the status for the same. I requested them to share the date & time when your executive has tried to call me. But she was unable to do so.
13. I again requested customer care executive to please accept another request for card cancellation and please cancel my both the card.
14. Two days later i got a call back from rbl, saying that calling from rbl backend team. She told me that this call is regarding your request for card cancellation. She said like this is to confirm you that there will be no reversal of any kind charges as it is already billed and since you had given cancellation request after the annual charges applied to you, so we cannot cancel the card as well. So you have to pay all the money which is already billed to you. I requested her to let me talk to senior who may help in this regards, further she replied that since i am calling from backend team, there is no need to talk to any seniors as my decision is final.

Imp: also like to add that, i had also availed a personal loan (For rs : 2, 50, 000 as on 30/01/2016, a/c no :[protected] from rbl and paid it back before time, within one year.

Now i am feeling like, i have been cheated very badly by a bank to whom i trusted enough and always tried to be a loyal customer by paying all bill amount before due date.

But since rbl is not respecting my trust and loyalties as a customer, so there is no point of being further customer to rbl. So i wanted disconnect my all relationship with rbl peacefully.

So kindly cancel my all the cards (Card no : 5256xxxxxxxx1829 and the older card whose last four digit is : 2225 which i have already destroyed almost a year back) and bill me the final amount on the same (Please cancel and pre-close all the emi on my cards)

Once you will cancel the cards and will send me the final bill, i make the whole payment immediately so that rbl bank can grow further as i believe that rbl is managing their growth in this manner only by cheating their various customers who trusted to rbl.

Dear sir,
I am getting daily threatening calls 10-15 times from rbl bank credit card department from day of credit card bill generation till due date is over even after making the payments also. My bill is being generated as on 18th of every month and due date for the payment is 6th/7th of next month, but i am getting 10-15 calls during the period of 19th to 6th/7th of next month and every time forcing me to make the payment today itself. Whatever i will update to them, it doesnot matter, i will again get the same call from different no.
Even some time getting call after making the payment also. Surprisingly, after confirming the transaction id, again will get another call for the same.

I am very much regular in making payment and have never lapsed any payment for credit card till now, but still suffering

I got very much frustrated from their collection department.
