Dear sir/madam,

I had booked a tempo traveller (13-seater) on 27/10/2018 with discount offer trip id (M4hwepnpl5). On red bus.

As per terms and discussion for any changes in pick up timings i was told to directly get in touch with ms. Poonam travel operator.

I proactively approached the travel operator 7 days earlier of travel to ensure the vehicle is on time with no issues as we wanted to travel together with minors and kids with us and was following till afternoon of 8/11/2018.

Despite so many follow up and confirmation just a day before travel and despite confirmation email from red bus at 4.45pm on 8/11/2018 saying vehicle confirmed i did not receive driver details. This time also ms. Poonam - travel operator did not call and i had to call her and to my surprise it was told to me the tempo traveler is not available at 9.30 pm on 8/11/2018 assuring me something she will manage since we had paid 70k for a villa booked in goa and more important it was a long-awaited plan for entire family with full of excitement. Post which she stopped answering my calls.

I called up red bus and they convince me for two innova instead of traveler. Our excitement was totally lost as now we have to travel separate in two cars. Post which i did not received driver details and even red bus contact center was not answering till 12.30 am 8/11/2018. This led to my blood pressure shoot up and i was in severe pain as it was question of the entire travel program at stake as we cannot cancel our bookings and loss of entire booking amount.

Finally, after severe follow up i got only driver detail for 1 car and reconfirmed with ms. Poonam travel operator that is it innova to which she assured yes and 2nd driver details will be given in morning. To my surprise again in morning too our driver details were not sent and i had to call for the 2nd driver details. Surprisingly the vehicle which was supposed to come at 10 am as per discussion with ms. Poonam travel operator they came at 11.15 am.

Another disaster as instead of innova they sent 2 travera private vehicles not tourist vehicles that too in pathetic condition. I called up ms. Poonam - travel operator but this time mr. Kumar spoke to me and assured to start journey and said we will figure out something for you once finished the journey.

Out of 2 driver one was totally new to the route. Due to which we got late for the entire itinerary and had to extend a day for return journey. As per red bus we were supposed to pay for 1 vehicle excess km at tempo traveler rate. Surprisingly we were asked to pay inter state entry charges which were not charged as they had sent private vehicles which are government charges.

The drivers were threatened of not getting paid and who told us to exit in between highway towards pune at 12.30 am 14/11/2018. I was totally harassed, with risk of life of my family and in severe pain.

It took 28 hours for us to reach from goa to mumbai and two of my family members even got sick.

The above stated is a brief of the complete harassment we went through. I have call recording and whats app chat to support the above pathetic behavior of red bus, travel operator and others.

Issues in brief:

1) false promise on vehicles booked tempo traveler settled for two innova as last minute update of no vehicle but sent pathetic condition travera

2) late coming for pick up and one new driver on travel route affecting entire travel plan since both vehicles had to be kept together

3) taking care of food & other arrangements for two drivers on grounds of humanity which we did and ms. Poonam - travel operator says who told you to do. Paying parking charges and toll for 2 vehicles.

4) violation of transport norms and sending private vehicles for commercial bookings.

5) demanding inter state entry tax which was supposed to be paid to government only if traveled by tourist vehicles.

6) harassment as left in middle of highway at midnight with risk to our life.

7) threatening drivers of not getting paid if customer is not paying demanded charges.

People involved:

1. Red bus – initial booking – ms. Naseema, mr. Junaid, mr. Manish singh

2. Ms. Poonam & mr. Kumar – travel operator – rent a car – [protected] / [protected].

3. Mr. Rajan / mr. Mistry – person approached by rent a car for new vehicle

4. Mr. Sachin – person who sent the car on instruction of no. 3.

I hereby demand to take strict action and refund my entire money paid to red bus (Rs. 3, 512), drivers for fuel - (Rs.18, 466) parking charges (400) toll difference (500 approx.), compensation for spoiling journey excitements, harassment and risk of life.

If the same is not resolved we would look forward for legal action.
