[Resolved]  Godrej Industries Limited. — Defective Product from Godrej

I bought a refrigerator 3 years back. and the compressor is still under warranty. In last 1 year, it is serviced 4 times and the most unreliable refrigerator I have seen. It stops cooling suddenly and again it starts normal after few days kept unused. The technician, initially replaced the timer, then said there is a gas leakage. Which I did not agree so he tried to clean the colling chamber, by pouring hot water to melt the ice. The refrigerator started okay and continued for 2 to 3 days. Again it stopped. Now it is a regular issue Compressor - working fine Timer - Working fine Gas - Ok Reason - UNKNOWN I called tollfree service desk, they agreed to replace the refrigerator. Asked me to call the branch. Branch is saying no policy like that and it can'tbe replaced.

I am really sick of registering the complaints.
1. The refrigerator was giving some noise since I bought the refrigerator, but as it was running, I did not complain.
2. The refrigerator was completely stalled on 17th Apr 2013 and got fixed by replacing the timer by smart care on 19th Apr 2013
3. The refrigerator was again stalled on 12th Sep 2013 and the technician fixed it the same day
4. The call was not closed and kept open for no reason
5. The refrigerator was stalled again on 19th Sep 2013 and got fixed on 21st. Again the TIMER and Bio Metal got changed
6. The refrigerator worked for 2 days and again it is working intermittently from today23rd Sept

I DON'T WANT ANY MORE TECHNICIAN VISIT WHICH CAN'T FIX THE ISSUE. THIS IS THE 5TH TIME I FACED THIS ISSUE.
PLEASE TAKE BACK THE GARBAGE AND REPLACE WITH A FAULT FREE NEW MACHINE.
I called the help desk and it is really a pain. Sumanta is so arrogant, he did not even booked the complaint and hang up the phone.
Again I got a message that some technician will attend. I DON'T NEED ANY MORE FIXES. PLEASE GET THIS REPLACED.

Again the refrigerator got stopped last night and I connected to your smartcare and Mr. Srikant Mondal.
As per him this can't be replaced. I need a written reason why this is not a defective product and why this can't be considered as replacement

Here are the issues

- So far it has gone 6 times on service (In just 6 months)
- Biometal and Timer has changed multiple times
- There is no consistency in maintaining the temperature. It stops itself and the temperature is so high the, the food and medicines got bad
- It starts automatically for no reason suddenly

This is a complete wastage of time and it is not worth spending so much time in discussion and fixing to a GARBAGE BOX.

JUST REPLACE IT

I disappointed WITH THE QUALITY OF GODREJ PRODUCT. This is meant for HASSEL every 3 months to 6 months.This refrigerator is really a pain. Again it is gone bad few days back with exactly similar symptoms. Now the service engineer will do the same replacement with timer and bio metal and charge me for the same.Just in 6 months again I am spending more money. Godrej Sent me a letter saying the refrigerator is in good condition, when I requested for the replacement due to manufacturing defect, Need your help to resolve this and replacement of the refrigerator.The new complaint number is K[protected]logged on 10th July
