[Resolved] Reliance Digital — faulty product provided/no assistance provided on additional store warranty | |||||
Hi all, I bought dell inspiron laptop from reliance digital phoneix mall, bangalore and also bought additional warranty along with it. The product was faulty and sparingly used in one year as i was out of india. The laptop became completely dead after an year. I was relaxed as i bought additional warranty for this laptop with reliance. But my sorrows and miseries starts from here. I submitted my laptop at nearby reliance digital service centre on 29th october 2017. There was no update from anyone from the service centre. I was contacting reliance customer care daily and i was getting false updates from them that product sent to vendor (Dell). After my rigorous follow ups and on 6th of november, i received call from service centre that laptop hardware has malfunctioned. They need to replace the hardware. But they can’t do it because there was wrong product warranty update done by the store at the time of purchase and the service centre refused to service and asked me to take the laptop back to the store where i originally purchased my laptop. Very unfortunate and epic as i produced all the evidences (Bill + warranty) that my laptop warranty is still active. But didn’t helped. They just wanted to wash their hands with this issue. I collected laptop from there on 6th november itself and then took it back to the purchased store (Reliance digital store, phoneix mall bangalore) and they accepted that warranty was incorrectly updated by their staff and they will take it for service. They kept it for 3 days with no update. After my repeated follow ups they told that the laptop hardware is faulty which was already known to them. Now the worst part, store people tried to pitch me a new laptop by paying me minimal compensation for my faulty laptop. Very shameful and it makes me feel that reliance doesn’t value customers money and the faulty products they sell. I was stringed not to buy any other product from reliance as already i’m going through miserable customer experience and can’t afford to invest anymore on faulty products they sell luring their customers with additional warranty which is pathetic. I told them to get my laptop serviced and they informed me that they’v ordered faulty parts from dell. It’s been a week now and still no update when i will get my laptop back in working condition. Nobody in reliance is cared to follow up with dell and service the laptop and handover to me. It’s 19th november today and still its not know when the laptop will be handed over to me. For how long i’ve to wait to get my laptop serviced? Does it really takes a month that your product lies with reliance before somebody acts upon it. Very inhuman.
