Good Afternoon,
My childrens are students of S.D. PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATEL NAGAR. Yesterday received notice from school.
As per your statement, The Delhi government has instructed private schools not to hike their fees in the midst of the Covid-19 lockdown. The government has said schools cannot hike fees without its permission. The schools have also been told they can only charge a monthly tuition fee, and not transport fee, development fee or any other form of fee. According to the above statement S.D. Public school, patel nagar is taking annual charges, development charges from august onwards.
“India on the whole is affected by this uncertain period. When companies are planning to announce pay cuts, lay-offs, leave without pay, several big and small businesses are impacted, in such a situation it is okay for school to charge a fee to maintain itself, but hiking the development, annual fee is totally unfair and insensitive.
“I request you to regulate the schools and direct the state governments to ensure that there is no hike in this year and schools do not charge for services during this time which they are not providing. On what basis they are taking charges without permission. Also note that school had exclude childrens from online classes due to unpaid fees.
Please take action as soon as possible to save childrens future.,
