[Resolved] Samsung India — samsung a20 mobile phone | |||
Dear sirs, I am your loyal customer in india & uae for not only mobile phones but also for all my home appliances for many years. For all these years i never had any visits to your service center or raised any warranty claims, the first experience with after sales service was today and i am deeply disappointed and felt insulted. I purchased a samsung galaxy a20 as a gift to one of my employee on 17th may and gifted to him on 20th may on the 3rd o[censored]sing the device it stopped working (The full touch screen stopped working). I was further embarrassed when my employee asked if i had gifted him an original samsung device!! I was further embarrassed and disappointed after vising to your service center at cochin, and talking to your managers named binosh tp & paul xavier (The behavior of these managers are to be separately addressed) both of them had a very prejudiced attitude and it clearly sounded that their first priorities were on how to reject warranty claim. My claims to replace the device was rejected for the flowing reasons - 1) the packing box (The paper box) was damaged while opening 2) there was a hair thin scratch found at the rear side of 1 cm length (This is not able to be seen with normal eye sight) None of your managers or after sales team answered me why the device stopped working because of the above stated reasons and what is the technical logic in rejecting my replacement warranty because of these reasons. I am also an automobile engineer and is owing an auto repair shop in cochin and are familiar with all warranty clauses and legal t&c's related to the same. These two reasons provide to repudiate my claim is a very evident attempt of denying my rights as a customer. Finally - I was offered an option to repair the damages which i am not convinced for a very simple reason, (I have no doubt on the technical capabilities of your service center in repairing the damages) but i am not convinced with this option for a very simple reason - 'no repair can restore the faith of customer on a product which stopped working within 3 days of purchase' I am only asking my genuine rights as a customer; i trust and hope that your will pay attention to my concerns with a proper resolution offered.
