Request for acknowledge my complaint HRSC000035 wrt HRS0017827 and compensate for the loss
This is to bring into your notice the chronological order of the incident.
1. Synthetic Saree was given to Sancy Launderette, HSR Branch on 5th September 2016
2. While providing the saree for dry cleaning it was brought in notice that Ink Stains are to ve removed.
3. Above saree was handed over to Prashanth R (HRS0017827) on his confirmation that stains will be removed 90%. On top of it he charged for silk saree (Rs 470) for synthetic saree.
4. On cross checking with him he tried to convince me that he charged correctly for the item.
As he promised me for 90% stain removal so I agreed to pay the amount to him.
5. I got a call from Sancy’s call center on 7th September 2016, 17:18 hrs to inform me that “stain are very tough they tried hard to remove it but they were able to remove it at maximum extent, more than that it may damage the saree”. So I agreed the same and asked them not to put more effort on that to avoid damage to cloth.
6. I went to collect the cloth on 9th September 2016 and I was attended by Venky, to my utter surprise I saw that stain was not at all removed. I checked with store supervisor and he informed that they don’t take responsibility of Ink stains and also he confirmed that I was charged wrongly for cloth as mentioned in point 3.
I explained him the reason why I agreed to handover cloth at inflated price.
7. I filed a complaint HRSC000035 with remark “I was informed that stain will go but now I came to know that there is no guarantee for ink stain. I have been billed for silk saree for synthetic saree”. Venky confirmed me that he will be putting my query to management and get it sorted out.
8. From the day I submitted complaint I did not get to hear from Sancy on my complaint. I repeatedly called Sancy on the same but call center was not ready to answer my query. I asked them the number of management as my query was not getting answered. Customer care and shop owner did not provide me any number so that I can escalate my query.
9. I felt that I am cheated and was getting mentally harassed for the complaint I lodged. But Sancy management was not at all responding to any of my repeated calls.
10. I went to shop to get answer to my query on 17th September 2016 but surprisingly Venky also deviated from his initial statement of at least reducing the inflated price. I was not at all attended in a very congenial manner. It forced me to visit HSR Sector 1 police station as I was getting mentally harassed and he was not at all agreeing to give me any contact. As informed to me by PSI there I have only way to approach consumer complaint cell to get it answered.
11. I left the shop paying the inflated amount and logged consumer complaint on http://www.consumerhelpline.gov.in/, Complaint no 28916
I want Sancy’s Management to answer my complaint and revert me back on the same ASAP.
