[Resolved]  Sathya Agencies — faulty refrigerator issued in the name of discount

We visited Sathya agency T-Nagar branch last year (Feb 2018) to enquire about Haier refrigerator. Bt we were told that samsung was better and also there is an offer going on with a particular model (5 in 1 convertible) with attractive discounts.As soon as we heard about the discount price we enquired whether its any damage/ defective product? But the sales person assured that its a genuine one. So we opted for EMI and purchased the product on that day.

Last Feb on 27.2.19, there was a sudden noise from our refrigerator and we could smell some pungent gas leak. Since my mother was alone, She switched off the fridge. The next morning we registered a complaint in Samsung and the engineer came immediately. As soon as we showed him our purchase bill, he told that the Product's part number in bill and physical were different and hence the problem cannot be rectified under warranty.

We were told that some welding joint was cut in the rear and it would charge around 3000/-. But we were afraid about the part number issue. So my mother (aged 55) went directly to T-Nagar sathya agency to enquire about the same. The very first reply from them was that our fridge was out of warranty by 10days! But they never bothered about part number variation and stated that its a normal happening!

After several stages of argument, they agreed to change it under warranty and a samsung person attended the issue. But to our surprise, as soon as he switched on the fridge, The compressor failed. He immediately apologised and assured to change the compressor. The next day he came with a compressor but it was found by my cousin that it actually doesnt suit my product and it was of another model. So he left stating there is no availability of part and he will return after it arrives.

The next 15 days we didnot had any call from them and even our calls were un answered. Weagain logged a complaint in samsung and they replied us immediately stating that they will chnge the product if again problem repats after changing compressor. To our shock, The freezer didnot work after fitting new compessor. This time we got furious and asked to take away the product. Now the engineers from samsung stated that our product is out of wwarranty by 2 months and that they could not correct the issue. Now we started fighting that it was they who made such delay. later they changed the cooling pad. even then there was no improvement. Finally they diognised that they didnot fill nitrogen the whole time.

at last after speaking with regional manager, he accepted to change the fridge. But sathya agency employee (Mr.Sekar and Mr.Tamilarasan) refuse to give the same product stating that if again some problem arraises, they will not consider it under warranty? Am surprised how can they tell that?

We even accepted that and bought LG fridge (GL-I472QDSY) with 2700/- extra payment!! Now they again make a new problem that they couldnot give us bill as there is server problem with sathya due to tamil new year sale. My fridge was delievered on 6th April! And how could there be a server problem for such long time?? Its been 10 days and now they tell a new story to open fridge on our own without LG person installation!!

Now i seriously have a doubt that whether the new fridge is also a faulty one so that they donot want to give us a bill and make us violate LG warranty rules!! So that if there is a problem in future, we can be easily blamed?

It was my mother who handled these problems lonely these months as am out of country on a small trip? this is how You treat a elder person??

I need my bill for LG withing 2 days or I am surely going to take legal action.
