[Resolved]  SBI Life Insurance — SBI life money back policy survival benefit not disbursed

Dear sir, I am having a SBI life money back policy. As per the policy I should be getting back a certain amount at regular intervals say 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th and 20th year. The 1st survival benefit should come to me during on Sep-2011 and the next survival benefit should come on Sep-2015. SBI disbursed me the 2nd survival benefit in Sep-2015 directly in to my account but I didn't get my 1st amount for Sep-2011. When I checked with them why I didn't get the 1st amount, they said its already disbursed and I received that also and they sent some speed post reference number also POD no EM[protected]IN. But I don't remember that i really received it and to make sure I checked all my accounts and came to know that I didn't receive any such amount. I told them to give some proof that I really received it. When I ask for the proof, they are saying that I didn't receive and asking me to send the cancelled cheque to process the payment. I was asking them why they are not sending any communication like emails, letters or at least a SMS to the customer when some amount is disbursing in all my 10 emails but they are not ready to reply even for a single time. Instead they are replying everything in one word answer. Whatever you ask in pages, they will send some vague reply as if they don't see anything in the email or they don't understand it. They are not accepting that they didn't give the benefit. Instead they are saying I didn't receive my first survival benefit. But the actual is SBI didn't pay the amount and not informed me also so far. I was there in my address only for the past 10 years and I didn't get any speed post from SBI. I should have received this survival benefit 4 yrs before. It clearly shows that SBI is trying to hide the amount and then revealing it after asking for the proof. I should get the survival benefit for the 4th year along with the interest for these 4 years period in to my account as this is the fault from your side or else I'll escalate this issue to high levels. Also I should get communications for all the releases regularly. I made several complaints through their email address. They said I will be receiving the amount but they did not mention anything about the interest which I should get for that even after 2 or 3 emails during the last one month. Then I escalated it to the Grievance redressal officer also but it is of no use. I didn't get any reply after a week. It is really very hard to imagine the people in rural areas to get their hard earned money back from these insurance companies in such scenarios. All should better avoid it. A lesson learned. I have received the amount of Rs.30362. Thanks. But what is the work out for this amount??I have not received this amount for 4 years. I should have received this amount 4 years back.If you calculate the interest for 4 years how much I should get in that case, even with a very small interest rate also I should have got something around 6000 to 9000 Rs for Rs 30000.I have clearly explained you that all these delays are from your side without any intimation, in my previous emails. Suppose if the same thing happens from the customer side will the SBI will leave that as such?? For example if we dont pay the premium for 4 years and will you give us all the benefits if we pay after 4 years?? Also I mentioned so many things in my email but you are wantedly ignoring all the questions i asked and replying without any concern. This shows how good SBI life insurance gives value to the customers.I should get a proper response for all the queries I asked including the intimation why you are not sending to the customers if there is any dispersal. Or else I will approach to high level even I would ready to approach legally if I dont get proper response from you side.

Could you please helm me in understanding one thing. As I also have the same sbi money back policy.

I have to pay my premium on 1st of Jan every year for 12 years.

first premium on 1st 2014
Second premium on 1st 2015
Third premium on 1st 2016

When can I get my first survival benefit. As I paid three instalment on time. I mean after how many months from my 3rd instalment.

Dear krishna,
It depends on your policy. For me it is after 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 years. You have to check your policy for your return time.
