Scheduled Banks — Poor quality of service

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Once, the scheduled Banks were good in rendering service compared to the Nationalised ones. But, now the scheduled Banks are deteriorating in quality service. All scheduled banks are almost caste-oriented and have become the property of a particular community and a family.A boasting Bank having registered office at Kumbakonam was once synonimous for its quality service, has now become the worst in service. In those days when there was no scientific Advancements, the banking operations were done manually and meticulously;but now, with the technical proliferations, the Banking Service has become ridiculous.Having and acquired no adequate knowledge in Banking, the inefficient hands staff the Banks who are rough in dealing with the customers. Moreover, the staff-members are absorbed in the Banks at the recommendations of Elite groups like Judges, highly ranked Police personnels, Doctors, Politicians etc; A politician`s son, who has no competency at all, has become the G.M of a Scheduled Bank, overnight. The Board of Directors always pampers such staff with lenience.Whenever, a customer approaches the staff for clarifications, one can expect surely a curt reply from them. The Bankers/staff have no considerations for the customers; female employees slack their attention and are not courteous towards the customers. They have no regards for their clients absolutely, taking advantage of thier gender, compared to the male ones.To say, Banks` staff enjoy their life with vanity because of the industrial repute. The Banks are managed by inefficient and criminal executives. They concentrate only on amassing wealth. We must put an end to the sad-state-of -affairs of the Banks. The Chairmen of the Scheduled Commercial Banks must be from RBI who are executives of the cadre of not less than Chief Officer. RBI should revive the yester-year practice.
