[Resolved]  Shine.com — Unethical, Fake Commitment, Cheaters and Frauds

Dear Readers,

I am submitting/ raising my disappointment and total unsatisfactory service delivery, fake commitment and cheating from Shine. Com

1. I received call from Shine's Sales Team - Mr. Chandan on 11th May 2022 for registering as a paid member from Shine. The amount asked was INR 3657 (one time) and then alot of advantage were informed to me. As this was call from Shine - I had not used its services before and did not read / taken feedback from users. However, I had gone ahead without hesitation and made the payment instantly assuming things will go right. This gentlemen - Chandan then informed that I will receive subsequent call from Shine Team - We have assigned individual service account manager and he/she will explain you the services. It will only take 20-25 minutes and they will inform all the benefits (informed by Chandan).

2. Within 2 hours, I the received call from Mr. Vicky.
He said that I have a strong profile and Shine has good recommendations for me currently. “We understand your preference sir and will connect with the recruiter very fast because we know them and current suitable opening”. We will help you getting jobs with maximum growth. Between 40 to 60%. !! I told him its hard to believe and looks like a luring story.. he said believe us Sir!!
We have many offers from recruiter currently. We will circulate it to you and then you will have so many options to choose organization based on your preference location, salary, culture etc etc. We will share exclusive opening with you which are not available in job market.
Vicky from Sales team also committed that the within 20 days.

Issues and Concerns:

1. Vicky did not provided any clarity on the total fees to be charged (he did not even mentioned approx amount).
He pitched the amount very unethically - what he did was firstly he informed all the benefits in totality and asked me for a payment of INR 12565 (with GST). I asked him is this is only the payment I have to make as I had already made payment of INR 3657 a while ago.
He said, yes sir. I went ahead with the payment believing him.
As soon the payment, reflected their account, he pitched another payment link to my mail for INR 18642 (with GST). This was a total surprise to me as he had not at all informed this and the call was already continuing. I communicated my surprise to him, he said to believe and trust, your money will be for good use. I asked hope there is no further charges / fees (of whatsoever nature / category) after this amount is paid.
He again said that this is the last amount sir. I paid it on trust basis.

To my utter disbelieve, he once again sent me 3rd link and now for the payment of INR 48378 (with GST) and now saying that this will avail you service Jobs on the Move, Career Growth for Professional Success.
This was truly unbelievable, unethical. I still communicated my dissatisfaction from this process with respect and asked him if I can speak to his Manager / Senior.
Vicky connect the call to his senior - Mr. S Singh.
I narrated the payment method and my dissatisfaction to Mr. Singh. He also said to trust Shine and a commitment that customer will received best and committed service.
I did not wanted to pay a single rs now and told Vicky that I will pay this amount tomorrow after some feedback. Then he started resisting and said I will loose all benefits if I do not make the payment now. I was totally trapped and my fault was that I believed representative of Shine Team. I went ahead with the payment (totally dissatisfied). Total amount paid - approx INR 83000

2. Then I had sent mail to Chandan, VIcky and S.Singh expecting services as per commitment. To my disbelieve, they did not responded to my single mail.

* Shine Team - Please check the call recordings of the way your people process and commitment made to me. You will also hear my pain in the call where my hard earned money was charged unethically.

3. However, I still had a positive hope Shine service. I dont know why, but I felt, service team might provide a justified service wrt to fees charged.

Services of Shine Team:
The service team started with asking me to provide details & documents to enable all services. I did the same.
Now I was waiting for recommendation of job as per my job preference and feeds. And from here, another reality / experience started happening with me.
More than 35 mails over 1.5 months with Shine team, Service Representative - Munish has been exchanged and still now not even a single recommendation shared with them as per my preference. I have the records of all the communication. Id I start sharing matters of each mails, it will be very long. However, the points are as below:

a. The total payment was not informed properly. It was a cheat.
b. Even then opportunity was provided.
c. I see irrelevant (non preference) job recommendation on portal, promotions - job from canada, project manager, sales.
I am an experienced HR, and your team shares junior roles on whats app. The links shared by them are of Naukri and IIM's job. What is the use if I apply job from other portal? I have paid a hefty amount to Shine so that my profile is highlighted here. I do not have paid membership in Naukri and IIM job.
d. I only see recruiters viewing and interested in my profile, but did not received a single recruiters impaneled through Shine.
e. I started receiving fake calls and additional payment for any opening.
f. Where is the commitment, trust, quality of service??
g. Where is the quality check before sending me the job recommendation. It was only check the box.
Then I again received call from Saloni's team to understand expectation - i retold my job preference, but still no result. And now they are saying preference is now added!! This is a question to their competency and process. Then on what basis they we recommending the jobs to me if they had not noted my preference at the start.
h. Your team and members - Mr. Munish is champion is justification. He only say, "Hum Koshish Kar rahe" and to have patients.
Is the Sales and Service team aligned?? Did the sales team asked payment for result of "Koshish".
The effort used in justification - even if some percentage is used for outcome, then SHine team could be able to provide some recommendation to me.
i. Now they are saying it is upon market availability. All funda are now explained by Munish except result. To complete the training and courses - which is on commendation and subjects for lesser experience professionals

Very honestly I want to state that - In the meanwhile I have received extremely good job recommendations from other portals (free of cost).
But pathetic outcome from Shine.

Cracking interviews was my competency but only expectation from Shine team was professional service delivery even after unethical way of payment. But this team did not even do so.

2 weeks back - I spoke to a senior member from Shine Team - Ms Shobha.
She was being apologetic for my experience and again committed for improving the service.
I waited for 2-3 weeks. However, nothing improved. I requested for refund.

Shine Team - I trusted your team when I was in need and now reaping for that trust.
However even after 1 months and 14 days -there is no result from your team in terms of single job recommendations as per preference. I failed to understand why preference was taken!!
I do not have further energy and drive to discuss it with your team.
Wrt to recommendations from other sources, Shine team is not even close to it. I have received calls from consultants and companies from other portals where i am a free member. And the discussion has already started.
Whereas with Shine, it is still on expectations clarity, discussion, justification, emails etc. Nor a single workable job recommendations nor any call from recruiter impaneled with you. How-come other portal come up with offers as per my preference where as you team only with justification and check the box?

It was my greatest mistake to believe your team and paying the fees in 1 hour.

I still feel guilty towards my decision and responsibilities that I should have waited, checked / taken you feedback from customers and then invested. Being in HR field, this was a blunder and disaster I did trusting your people.
Anyway, kindly refund my hard earned money.
Or else pls keep it as a donation from my side to you company 👍👍
I do not wish for further service from Shine team!!

We might want to repeat that have you purchased the services with your own assent and we have additionally shared all invoices alongside the dashboard interface at the time of initiating the services. Our team member had called you up for the welcome call they explained you the procedure in detail. Based on your comprehension, the services have been started.

Also, to far, we have shared 12 links with you, of which two are irrelevant based on your expectations, while the rest are related to the DGM, GM, HR Head, VP HR, Senior HR Director, and corporate portals.
