[Resolved]  Shree Maruti Courier Service — ruthless behaviour o[censored]mesh at hsr layout office

On feb 20, 2018, at about 9.30 am, i visited shree maruti courier services pvt ltd at hsr layout to deliver an important document to trivandrum. Umesh, supposedly the person in charge there told me that the package will reach after two days, i. E., on feb 22, 2018. He told me that if i sent through fast track, then it will reach before 1 pm. Since this was extremely urgent, i paid rs.300 and chose to send through fast track mode.

When i tracked shipment online on feb 22, it was mentioned that it is ready for delivery to guwahati. I called them immediately to check the status as the courier hadn't reached the recipient. He asked me if i had sent to guwahati or trivandrum! I got paranoid as this was critical and i couldn't afford to waste another minute.

I immediately rushed to the courier office and asked them for the status. Umesh was extremely rude and denied even having accepted the package from me. He said that it must have been somebody else and said he doesn't know anything about it (Although it was his own employee if at all it wasn't him). He was not being helpful at all and he was yelling at me defending himself. He wasn't taking any responsibility for his staff's actions.

To being with, he denied that he was the one who accepted the courier on 20th morning and argued that it will take 2 to 3 days for a courier to reach tvm and when i asked me why i was given wrong information that it would reach on 22nd and before 1 pm if sent through fast track, he said he doesn't know! I needed a resolution and all he did was yell at me saying that's how it works.

As part of the fast track service, we are supposed to get sms alerts on booking and delivery. When i asked him why i didn't get any sms, he asked me if they entered manually or on system. How the hell am i supposed to know what their procedure is. I told him i have no clue except that the receipt that was issued to me by him says 'fast track'. He said at that time the system was down early in the morning and so, he couldn't enter in the system using the software and therefore my number was not registered for alerts. I asked him if they can update right then so that i am at least informed as soon as it is delivered. He said no! I asked who was in charge of the office and he proudly said he is the only one in charge. I didn't have anyone else to escalate the matter to.

Another lady in the office named jayalakshmi tried to help me by contacting their counterpart in cochin and umesh yelled at her too and told her to hang up. He didn't allow her to update me about the status of the courier. I requested him that at least if she is trying to help, he should allow her to do so. But he continued to yell. I was told by their cochin counterpart that they had received the package only on 22nd although it was to be sent to them on fast track. This man did not own up to any of his mistakes or for giving me wrong information that the courier would reach before 1 pm on 22nd. He wasn't apologetic for any of this and made no attempts to help me but only raised his voice and continuously yelled. I had to tell him that i would call the cops if he yelled this way and only that made him stop yelling but he never offered to resolve this issue.

The package did not reach at 10.30 am on 23rd and when i called up, umesh yelled on phone again asking me who said that the package would reach by 10.30. When i told him that their cochin counterpart informed me yesterday, he said it would reach only by 1 pm. The package did not get delivered before 1pm either. He is extremely arrogant, harsh and rude. He had no manners whatsoever to talk to his customers or at least to a woman! I got cheated and misinformed and to make it worse, there was no help from this man.

Help for me
My courier was emergency which needed to be reached to baroda from kodinar but after 2nd day it has not reached. The person told that it will reach in 1 day. If you are not able to provide a service stop your business.
