[Resolved] Siemens Home India — Dishwasher ruined by technician during service | |||||
Our dishwasher was working properly, but for the past one month, we've been noticing the water was not getting hot in the dishwasher, so it was leaving soapy residue on the plates and glasses. So we called siemens service centre and asked for repair. Few days later, 2 technicians came home and checked it out, and said this might be because heating component is broken so that will need to get replaced. They said it would cost around 4000 rupees to replace heating component. Then i said okay and asked them to carry on with repair. So he said they will order the part and come again to do the repair when the parts arrive. Yesterday they said parts arrived and so they came home to do the repair. And while they were doing the repair, they messed up something, because when they switched on the dishwasher, few sparks came in the board and it short circuited i think. I was standing right in front of them while this happened so when i enquired what happened, they said they were just trying out an old board and that they were just trying to see if it works. So they put in a new board, replaced the heating component, and it was working now. So now, after all this, they gave me a bill of around 14000 RUPEES. I was so shocked when i saw this, because they said initially that it would cost only around 4000, and this is the only reason why i agreed to do the repair. And they claim it came up to 14000 because they hard to change the board also, because it short circuited, but that wasn't my problem. BECAUSE of some mistake made by the technicians who came, the board short circuited. It was working without any problems for over a year. And now, they are trying to make me pay for it by making up excuses like this. They are trying to say it short circuited because of some bugs and insects on the board. But it hadn't short circuited and they trying to say it happened because of this. It was working without any problem so obviously this was because of some mistake made by the technicians while doing the repair. I saw it short circuiting with my own eyes. But anyway, after seeing the huge bill, i told them i cant pay this big amount because i did not agree to this. So they removed the new parts they put in and put back the old ones. But now because of the short circuit the technicians caused, its not even turning on now. They completely ruined it and have caused me a big headache. Please fix this situation as soon as possible or i will have to send complaint to consumer court. Was this information helpful? | |||||
