Skoda India — SKODA RAPID - Prohibitive cost of ownership - Early failure of major engine assemblies | |||
SKODA Complaint Reference No. 676423 My Skoda Rapid car has multiple early failures of critical engine assemblies : - EGR Valve replacement at 19, 371Km - AC Compressor replaced at 34, 683Km - 2 Fuel injectors need replacement at 46.321Km just two weeks after normal service visit. On top of this, the SKODA India team is charging prohibitive prices for such early failures ( for example SKODA is charging 12% of the entire car price for a set of 4 Fuel injector valves ). This way one would end up paying 50% of a new car by the time the car reaches 100, 000/- KM running. Skoda india team keeps mentioning that the car is “out of warranty” but they do not want to understand that these are widespread fleet issues which most of the early Skoda Rapid car owners are facing. Instead of addressing these issues proactively, SKODA Rapid car owners are paying from their end and that too at prohibitive prices put up by SKODA India. Why should someone buy a new Skoda car with such cost of ownership ... atleast I would never recommend anyone to do this having made the mistake of doing this myself Was this information helpful? | |||
