[Resolved]  Snapdeal — snapdeal is a fraud company and cheats you

I am writing this message so that anybody who reads this understands how snapdeal is a worthless, cheating, fraud website.

On 13 dec 17 i ordered an item on snapdeal.com which i supposedly received on 15 dec 17. I paid the delivery courier cash on delivery. When i opened the item i realised i had been sent the wrong item, not what i ordered. I submitted a request on snapdeal’s website to have the item replaced with what i ordered.

On 18 dec 17 the same delivery boy who delivered the wrong item to me came to collect the item from me, ostensibly for replacement. He gave me a slip verifying that he had collected the item from me.

The same day, within an hour of the wrong item being collected from me i got an sms from snapdeal saying that they tried to collect the item from me but were unable to do so.

I called their customer help line only to be sent around in circles with an automated voice recording and no option to speak to a person.

I tried to use their website for customer service but, once again, there were only pre-selected ‘help’ options and no way of contacting any customer service people.

On tuesday, 19 dec 17 i received an sms from them asking me to give a missed call on one of three numbers depending on whether or not a pickup for the item was required or if the pickup was already done. I gave a missed call on the number that said that the pickup was already done.

On wed 20 dec 17, i received an sms saying that my case had been closed because they were unable to pickup the item from me and also tried multiple times to contact me but were unable to do so.

Not only had they already collected the item from me, i had confirmed this via missed call, and i had not received any other calls or messages from them. They were blatantly lying about having tried to contact me, after denying that they made the pickup for the wrong item they sent me.

I emailed them on 20 dec 17 at [protected]@snapdeal.com, the only method i have found of contacting them. I told them everything that had happened, that i had already given the wrong item to the courier who came to collect it from me and that they had wrongly said they couldn’t collect the item from me. I also explained that they had taken my money and neither sent me what i ordered or refunded my purchase cost to me.

Having not heard back from them 48 hours later, i sent them a reminder email, once again clearly stating the facts. Despite this they have sent me another automated email saying that my case has been closed because there has been no response from me and it seems i no longer want to return the item.

This is what snapdeal does. They take your money, send you some rubbish you didn’t order, then collect the item from you, deny that they ever collected it, ignore all attempts by you to contact them and then finally close your case while pretending that they have tried so hard to help. They keep your money and the item they wrongly sent you and then took back.

What is the best way to get this fraud company and it’s blatantly fraudulent practises to task?

Please spread this message far and wide so that nobody you know ever makes the mistake of ever dealing with them.

I as written to you both on [protected]@snapdeal.com and on your Facebook Messenger page. I have sent you he details of the courier collection of my item on 18.12 17 along with snapshot of the courier receipt. Despite this today, 26.12.17 you have sent me SMS and email to say hat you will reschedule the pickup of my item for Thursday 28.12.17.

What are you going to pick up when the item was already taken from me on 18.12.17 and I have given you the proof of this?

Furthermore you have repeatedly claimed to be unable to reach me on my mobile number. I have received many phone calls since this morning on my number from various people, only Snapdeal is unable to reach me it seems. How strange that is.

All that is left is for you to refund the money you have taken from me for delivering the wrong item to me and taking that wrong item back already. There is nothing else to be done. Refund my money immediately.
