Hi,

I am here to note a complaint about the sonnat care, cmh road, indira nagar, authorised sony service center in bangalore.

I gave my sony xperia x to the service center on 08th july 2017 for the repair of my mobile camera lens which got broken. I have shown and told the customer center that my phone camera lens is broken and need to replace it. He told me that it will cost rs 2000/- for repairing and the return date to be 15th july 2017 so i agreed to it.

I informed him that i do not have an extra phone so if i get any calls i from service center i wont be able to attend the call. He asked me to call on the customer care on 15th july 2017 and come and collect the phone.

I did not had any phone for 4 days after and later i made a call on 15th july 2017. From the service center the person who picked the call told me that my phone is already repaired and it is some warehouse in rajaji nagar. Saturday and sunday are holidays so i can expect the phone on monday. I called again on monday i heard the same information so i told him that since i cannot come on working days i will collect it on friday or saturday. I called again on friday 21st july 2017 all i would hear was the same message and as a reason they told about some billing issue. After an hour i got a call from service center asking me to collect my phone.

I went to collect my phone and all i see was that my phone is in the same condition as i given my phone. I checked with the person responsible and he informed me that the phone was in rejection state since i didn't pick my phone from the company to tell about the invoice. I asked him if it was like that then why he informed to me on 15th and 16th of july 2017 that the phone is repaired and in the warehouse when i called to inquire.

The response i got from the customer care was very very rude and bad. The kind of worst talk from a service person i have heard. The person in service center was ready to ask for call recording to show the proof of the calls i made. He used even bad words to me also which i never expected from a sony service center.

Since your service center representative asked for recording i took a video recording of some part of the incident. Since sony's service be in stake due to a call response from an employee i am not uploading it in youtube and social media.

I like to ask you one thing that is it the company policy to ask for call recording proof from the customers when customer is telling about the service. I have a sony laptop, sony ps3, sony walkman and a sony mobile and please inform your service center people to treat customer with some respect or at least listen to there problem rather than jumping at them. Do you have service center representatives who will lie to the customer related to the status?

I am sending in great regret that i have faced a rowdy talk from a well known and a prestigious brand like sony. I hereby say that i am never going to buy a single product from sony from here onwards.

i think you are talking about the same guy whom i have also met in the service center.
Yes he is very rude, makes faces and tries to intimidate you, he is usally on duty in luch time hours till evening 4 pm, as thrice i had visited there during luch breaks from my office and found him there regarding my issue.
Yes, i have a problem with my sony phone and also the behaviour shown to me by this guy.
i am going to post my ordeal in a separate complain in this website in some time.

Service response is poor.
The technician from Sonnet care, Indira Nagar Bangalore who came to install the new Sony LED TV (wall mounted). He installed the TV at a height one foot above eye level (while seated) and the result is that the customer and his family are having neck pain and beginning to get vertigo. On informing the company the response was that to readjust the level the services are chargeable. This is pure cheating. Does the person who is installing the TV have no idea of what level to set the TV on the wall? What kind of skill does he possess?
Selling EXTENDED WARRANTY for brand new TVs and making money 11 months in advance!!
Secondly, the same person has given some big sales story to the customer (who is ignorant of many of the facts regarding warranty, etc.) about extended warranty and extracted a cheque for over Rs. 2000/- . On complaining to the centre they refuses to refund the amount stating that it has been encashed. The member of the family who was in the premises during the installation is not aware or literate about such matters.
Does the centre not know that selling extended warranty when the TV is absolutely new and already has one year warranty is cheating? The company can contact the consumer in the eleventh month after purchase and apprise the consumer of the pros and cons of extended warranty and thus gain the confidence of the customer such that the customer will feel the need to take the extended warranty. The company is making whopping sums of money by hoodwinking customers who are unaware of many matters. The centre also knows full well that the SONY brand is a trusted brand and hardly one in 1000 TV's will have a problem before 5 years.
I have a major problem with the way this center functions and the manner in which they cheat the unfortunate customers. I hope they will return the money that they have taken from us if they call them selves a reliable centre
