Sooriya Hospital — newborn unit

Not to comp-lain, but to thank god for referring me to sooriya hospital newborn unit. After 13 years of marriage, had a baby at just 6 months, 650g only, tiny, tiny, tiny. Looking at my baby was a horrible experience, i now say as a mother; not what i thought. Baby was rushed from velachery to sooriya in amn ambulance as i suddenly delivered half way through the pregnancy.

When i saw the baby with so many tubes, wires and lines, i was shellshocked and my world crumbled. Then i spoke to several doctors as my life revolved on this baby. All of them told me dr deepa hariharan at sooriya hospital will be the guardian angel, ; i only half-believed it due to the baby's condition and sooriya hospital being average and congested. My family doctors supported me to stay there and not change hospitals.

I have no regrets now, as i carry my 2kg darling-of-my - life, smiling and not letting me sleep. The days in nicu showed me dr deepa's brilliance as a doctor and administrator. She always predicted what will happen next, and gave prevention treatment. She explained everything to me and was 24 hours involved. It seems like she knows such sick babies as a fish knows to swim. Technically, the nicu seemed very advanced for a hospital of that size. Then i heard of all the awards she got, her meritorious achievements and how she sacrificed to improve newborn care in chennai etc from my family doctor in tambaram. I also heard sooriya nicu is one of the best in the nation due to dr deepa's dedication..

Just as i feell vanathirupathi craeted the baby, i feel dr deepa and sooriya hospital gave him life. Thanks. If others are in my situation, i am happy to guide them.
