Southern Railway — evacuation of aged couple from the retiring room at 10 p.m. | |||
I am a senior citizen of 73, my wife is 64. We had booked a retiring room on 8, 11, 18 online from 15th nov afternoon till 16th early morning. The booking was done by your system only up to 10. We repeatedly sent emails requesting that we wanted the reservation till next early morning. But no reply was sent. We took it for granted that that was done. But we were evacuated at night. Next early morning we had to proceed to madgaon by the passenger. We had taken an advance ticket for that. But, it was of no use for our further staying. Having had no place to sleep we went to the waiting room and lied down on the floor. Police asked us to vacate. The whole night we had to sit on the bench on the platform. K n dharmapalan, Vidhu, nr.
