[Resolved] Standard Chartered Bank — Credit card closure cibil never updated credit score
Hello, I am seriously frustrated with the behavior of Standard Chartered towards its customers. Here are the list of problems I've faced with SC. Well, I cannot put it in a sentence. so here are some bullet points for you: Happy customer created account with SC in December 2015 and got his credit card in 2016 Unsatisfied customer (SC were not willing to increase credit limit) has requested for credit closure in 2017 Q1. Unsatisfied customer was told that the credit card has been cancelled upon his request. Then innocent customer didn't know that his credit score is being affected by SC credit card with late payments (never received statements or SMS communications), despite the card being closed until he started applying to PL loans (SC also rejects, problem being with SC) in 2018 Q1. Confused customer again calls SC, they say the card was replaced, shipped and returned to them. Oh, here are few sub bullets points you must read it. Shipped to Chennai address, while I was living in Bengaluru. Card returned to SC bank. Customer requested to ship to Bengaluru branch. Customer had to put every effort possible to visit the branch to collect the card. The card never arrived. Moreover, customer was not intimated in any way. No requests were accepted for address change. Angry customer calls back SC again in 2018 Q2, and were promised to cancel the card within a month. Desperate customer tries to apply for loan again in 2019 Q1, where again SC also rejected his poor application. The reason was the late payments in credit report to SC credit report which was surprisingly still active. Frustrated customer now calls and mails SC teams and receives irresponsible responses asking for details the customer couldn't provide (Issue wasn't resolved). Fed up customer raised a dispute through CIBIL TransUnion and decided to move on as it was 3 years ago, it wouldn't affect his credit by then. Customer wanted to achieve his dreams with higher education in 2021, applied for education loan, credit report pulled, SC account still active with mis payments. Literally, My Dreams are being shattered. Standard chartered has been haunting me since 2017. Standard chartered has been the downfall for my credit from the beginning foiling all the financial plans. It is my sincere request to immediately rectify the late payments and mark the card as closed, and MOST IMPORTANTLY REPORT THESE TO CIBIL. As this is ruining my career and life, i have no problem with approaching Consumer court and ask for a settlement. Below are few details associated with my accounts for your analysis: Customer Name : Charan Teja Eddala Mobile : ********** Email : ********@live.com A/c Number : ************ *Please do not ask baseless questions such as credit card numbers. No thanks, Charan Teja. Was this information helpful?
