Standard Chartered Bank — personal loan - loan account no[protected] | |
I availed a personal loan from standard chartered in the year 2016 with 3 years of emi. As per my terms and conditions, i was given a benefit of last emi waiver. The same is stated in loan terms and conditions. However, now i constantly receive calls from standard chartered for the last emi. On asking, why should i make the last emi, they said you defaulted on first emi and that's why benefit of last emi waiver is not available to you. During the initial processing of the loan, standard chartered representatives provided me with wrong ecs form (Old format) which was denied by my bank and thus, first emi could not get processed on time. If a wrong ecs was provided to me and submitted to my bank by standard chartered, why the price of their own mistake has to be borne by a customer. I was provided a wrong form by standard chartered and i was proactive enough to complain about it but no one heard or responded back to my complaints at that time. I realize may be this is one of their tricks to exploit customers. First convert a prospective person in to client by offering last emi waiver and then provide wrong form to make it a default on first payment and eventually deny their obligations. I have shared multiple emails in 2016 with customer care but no one resolved my complaint back then. However, i have received an email from customer care stating ecs form was in old format, which to me clearly identifies the fault of standard chartered. I urge the necessary body to intervene and stop this financial and mental harassment of mine by standard chartered bank. Not only, i would want to pursue this matter further with necessary authorities for my rightful last emi waiver but also file claim for the mental harassment caused by standard chartered. I have enclosed relevant emails snapshots for the reference. I am ready to discuss or submit any further in this regard.
