Standard Chartered Bank — unwarranted claim in my cibil report | |
I mr arvind vasant pendse want to share a very unfortunate experience with standard chartered bank (Credit card division - recovery team). This incident dates back to 14th feb 2006 when my card was debited with usd 950 rs. 43240.49/- (When i was in india and gave adequate proof that this was a wrong charge to my aforesaid credit card). Immediately on notice of this wrong entry, i also spoke to customer care & lodged a complaint as also wrote to the bank vide my letter dtd 15th march 2006. In spite of clear evidence that i was not in fault, the matter remained unresolved till 2010 when lok nyayalay gave a decision (On 14th feb 2010) in my favour & advised scb (Represented by mr atul pathak) to write off the wrong amount charged to my card (Outstanding due was rs. 103792.41/- on that date). Accordingly scb wrote off the same but they have note writen off the compound interest amount which still appears as due from my in cibil record. I have been writing to pay. [protected]@sc.com customer. [protected]@sc.com and the last i sent was to mr sriram venkatraman’s office customer care dtd 30/01/2017. I have been using the card for several years with unblemished record and even till date i have not dues to any overdues to any bank/ institution but the cibil record has spoil my image for no fault of mine. I believe that standard chartered bank is so reputed for its professional approach and customer service, so i decided and tweet this problem to escalate to top management of the bank for reprieve. It is not the amount which is big, but i have protested as a matter of principle not to pay what i don’t owe.
