Respected sir/madam,

I mr shailesh prakash shinde had an accident while playing football at 4 bunglow, near versova, andheri w and was not able to walk properly, as my knee got twisted while playing. This happened on last saturday 05/08/2017. I thought it was minor lock in my knee and went to ayurvedi for normal check-up. He done some treatment and asked me to take rest for 2 days.
However, after 2 days i felt that, there is no recovery in the ayurvedic treatment, so i visited sterling hospital, borivali west. Here, i got an appointment with dr. Ajay n. Shenvi m. S. (Ortho.). He treated me well and medicine was also prescribed to me seems to be proper.
Now, after taking the treatment, i went to reception to make the payment of the charges. And there i was shocked. As the receptionist named (Akshata) asked me to pay doctor/provider consult charges to pay in cash. I requested her to take charges by card, as she was ready to take complete charges of hospitality through card. Now, here she needs to explain me the reason of taking amount in cash politely however, she started fighting with me and again and again saying that, "you can ask to the doctor/provider regarding this. We always take doctor/provider consult charges in cash. You will have to pay in cash. We do not accept payment in card or in any mode except cash for doctor/provider consult."
Now, here the concern is, i've went to sterling hospital and not directly to the doctor/provider. I know sterling hospital, as it is nearby me and it is a brand for ortho-patient. If anything happens, i will claim to sterling hospital and not to the doctor/provider. I don't know the doctor/provider, who he/she is. I only know the sterling hospital and when i came to the hospital, hospital forwarded to dr. Ajay n. Shenvi m. S. (Ortho.) to handle my case and look into it. So, in this case, i will be paying to the hospital and not directly to the doctor. And it is huge and reputed hospital so, no transaction should be done in cash. I regret to this system and as i want to pay in white and not in black.
Now, in second visit, i asked to the doctor in requesting words, can i give your fees in card??
Doctor replied, "yes, you can give the amount through card. However, hospital has not created our personal account in the system and so it lots of stuff needs to do from staff side to get my money. So, it is hectic for staff to give my money if it is paid through card/cheque/online etc.in this case, i'd request you to make the payment in cash, if you've or else you can ask the staff/receptionist". Now, with the satisfactory answer from the doctor, i went to the receptionist to make the payment. As soon as i ask that, can you please take the payment through card? Both the receptionist (Sarika & akshata) started fighting with me and she called the doctor/provider (Intercom) and started telling that, the patient is fighting at the reception. This was completely fake and un-ethical. Now, i'm afraid to go the sterling hospital. As, i might not able to get proper treatment, as i was expecting...

Hope you will understand and will take correct resolution after doing investigation.

Regards,
Shailesh prakash shinde

Dear sir -your hospital Dr are not properly check in my oral case. And very wrong answer. He is not sessions right Dr in my case. So I am not satisfied your hospital and Dr staff. I wait your right answer.
Sterling Hospital, Borivali - It is a horrible hospital with extremely disgusting staff (mainly the admin & some of the doctors)! The objective of this hospital is merely to extort money from the patients and their respective family. Their COVID ward is pathetic and absolutely unkept! When you place a request to either get something in the room fixed or change of room, they do not pay heed to your request but ask the patient to make do with whatever is available!

Let me tell you about the most disturbing part of this Hospital... the staff recruited for night duty..extremely unfriendly...do not care if the patient is in pain...the resident doctors doing rounds in the night do not even care to look at the patient's concerns. In fact the bell kept in the room is merely for show... some of the doctors do not even turn up!

I would recommend the people considering to admit any of their family members to Sterling Hospital to probably evaluate any of the government hospitals than this one. Else you are sure to face the same difficulties that my family had to face or even worse!

Literally, since I had no other alternative, one late evening I had to get my dad discharged from Sterling Hospital and have him transferred to another Hospital for his treatment due to their inability and inexperience to handle a complex case like ours. If you can't handle such cases, might as well disclose it upfront rather than trying to play around with the life of a man who is in constant pain. Getting a voluntary discharge is another crazy process...they make it so difficult for the patient's family members!

It's my sincere request to people to not consider this Hospital even to have themselves treated for a normal cold & flu.
