Swamy's School — did not refund my donation due to transfer

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu, 600125

My daughter named Sivani was studying 1st std in Swamy’s School, Madhanandapuram, Chennai in CBSE Stream for the year 2018 to 2019. I paid donation of Rs.40, 000 at the time of joining and they did not gave any receipt for that at the time. On September 2018, due to unavoidable circumstances, I got transferred to different city and my daughter could not continue studies in the school. So, I requested them to return back my donation amount and provide us the transfer certificate and progress report. I need to pay school fees for the new school in different city. I sent a letter to Swamy’s school explaining my current financial crisis to manage my daughter school transfer fees. It was really hard to manage all at a time. I am from a middle class family surviving on my monthly salary. I really struggled to arrange the donation amount. I humbly requested them to give us back the donation amount Rs.40, 000 which i paid as donation at the time of joining. Swamy’s school replied me saying that we can’t give back the donation amount and I need to pay the remaining term fees for the rest of the current year otherwise they can’t provide me the transfer certificate of the student which I can’t really digest. Why do I need to pay the remaining fees of my daughter for which she is not studying. I already paid Rs.72, 000 including donation for the year till September 2018.

I don’t know why people are so crazy on money and this is education institution should not think of making more money and they should serve the country by providing good education and good attitude to the students.
They did not think about me from my stand point. How much money I will be paying for my daughter studies for this year. Transfer is unavoidable and I can’t keep my family in Chennai staying alone just for the studies. Education should not be so expensive. When I was studying in school, my father paid less than Rs.2000 for an year but now I can’t imagine. In Digital India, GST is applicable for every small purchase. Where is the GST for the donation amount which I paid. Indian Government should take necessary measures to monitor all these. I know, Government is taking lot of measures. However, still these are happening.

I really need my donation amount back and the transfer certificate from Swamy’s school.
