It is to be informed that the kgmu and some other dental colleges provide diploma of dental hygiene and dental mechanics, after which the hygienist is appointed by the uttar pradesh government at the level of community health center and district hospital, while dental mechanic prosthodontics is the basis of dentistry which are called the backbone of dentistry, which is expected by the hygienist although they prove to be more important and useful, they are neglected and deprived from government jobs.
Dental hygienist, which is limited to cleaning teeth only, uses the same usefulness of dental mechanics - 1.in creating prosthesis of oral cancer patients 2.in making implantology fix crown and bridges 3. To make orthodontic appliances, 4 in making dental plate rpd 5. Dentite (Edentulus) person in making basti (Complete denture) denture etc.
