Meter no [protected], chennai. I have registered two complaints on tneb customer portal and awaiting their reply.
My house is not occupied and locked, i had been to tneb office to set the account as lockedout after which i did not receive any bills. This month, i received a bill for 3100 and was told to pay. Upon complaining to tneb office, tneb officers came to our house to check the meter and found that the meter was faulty due to which it was running even though there was no consumption. I also showed the house that is vacant and lockedout. Also confirmed to them that in their system my connection has been set as "lockedout". But they had told me to pay this bill as nothing can be done. I wanted to know why i should pay this bill when there was no consumption. I had also stored the electricity consumption card with me.
