Tamil Nadu Electricity Board [TNEB] — Wrong meter reading in EB bill - [protected] | |
Dear sir / mam I have a problem with EB bill payment. EB person have marked extra reading unit in our meter. Consumer id-[protected] On previous month - 02/07/21 consumed marked unit is 9370 This month unit - 21/10/21 consumed marked unit showed as 9940 But now we have taken reading on today 07/11/2021 it shown 9593 unit As mentioned above, I had been in EB card as marked 570 unit. But even on 07/11/21 it would have shown less than the present unit. So, it should have been even less than 570 unit. The bill amount now came as Rs. 2242. Which is much more than actual to be paid. In this regard, we have conveyed this in neaeby tneb office. But they asked to pay the amount and no amount to be paid in subsequent month upto unit reading 9970 reaches. But as per unit rate basis of TNEB, It is too much higher what we have to pay actually. (For example, meter wrongly read as 400 extra so actual unit consumed 170=100x0=70x1.5=Rs.105.but bill amount is Rs. 2242105).hence it is requested to kindly take necessary steps to sort out this issue.
