Hi to everyone........ I travelled from chennai cmbt to Trichy central bus stand on 31.08.13 Night 10.30 p.m (from C.M.B.T) to 5.30 am (to Trichy) .. I had an ash color bag with my dresses and M.C.A Tc of Asan memorial college of arts and science and my M.C.A marksheets in that.. I missed all with bag. Kindly provide any help to me.       This is about the poor maintenance of setc ud bus running between Chennai and Trichy. Few of the seats were only in good condition. Some of them are completely broken. The conductor doesn't have a answer, he simply regret. Take some action to look after the maintenance of buses that too running long distance.

      Every year Goverment allocates big amount of oney to transportation. Goverment also every year buying new buses. But, the problem is maintenance. Now I am studying in Bangalore. Here, most of passangers are prefer KSRTC than TNSTC. they are having good maintanance. Last week I travelled from Bangalore to Salem in TNSTC. that was pathetic travelling experience for me in my life. I found out few problem regarding customer dissatisfaction. those are
      Speed lock in every TNSTC where there is no system in KSRTC
      No floor cleaning and window screen
      No value to customer
      Yesterday (11/6/2015) i travelled to salem from chennai in bus number TN32 N3711. It was a very bad experience. It was a rainy day, all the passengers inside the bus got wet due to the bad condition of the bus roof and windows. There was no place to hide for rain. Each and every place of the bus was damaged. When we complaint this to driver and conductor, they do not have any idea. Please make necessary steps, we would like to make use of government services.

        Sir, I took a bus with my ailing mother (A21 – Express) from Chrompet today (21.08.2013 at 05:50 PM) (Bus no: TN 01 N 5745). My mother is 60 years old and we went to Chrompet to consult a doctor for her ailments. After boarding the bus, I asked the conductor to give me two tickets to Vandalur Gate Stop, he gave tickets of 9 rs. each but said the bus won’t stop at Vandalur Gate stop and I with my sick mother have to get down at Vandalur Zoo stop and catch another bus from there. Since, all buses except ultra-deluxe ones are required to stop at that bus stop, I asked him why he won’t stop there. For that he says he won’t stop there and if I want I can go request the driver to stop. I asked him why I should request the driver as Vandalur Gate is a compulsory stopping for this bus, for that he replied the bus will get late if he stops there. He further said that it will get late for them if he stops the bus at Vandalur Gate. I asked him whether the bus is for passengers to get to where they are going or for Drivers/Conductors to use as they wish. For that he said that he won’t stop the bus and I can do whatever I want. He didn’t stop the bus in Vandalur Gate and me and my mother had to get down at Vandalur Zoo stop and cross the road and catch another bus from there to get to Vandalur Gate. Three passengers other than us were also travelling to the same destination and they got down at Perungalathur itself since the conductor and driver harshly told them too that they won’t stop at Vandalur Gate Stop. Government have erected boards in the bus stop at Vandalur Gate that all buses except ultra-deluxe ones should stop in Vandalur Gate but not many drivers/conductors follow it. Buses are for people’s travel only and if driver’s and conductors doesn’t stop where they should then what is the point in government running buses? Drivers/Conductors like these think the bus they drive belong to them and passengers should not raise any questions against them. This is not a one-off incident and it frequently happens at our area. This has become a problem for people residing in our area as we have been forced to wait for white-board buses to come (which is not frequent) to travel from/to our stop. Ladies and elderly persons suffer a lot due to this. So, I request you to kindly take action against the above mentioned staff and take necessary action such that all buses stops at our place (Vandalur Gate). Yours Sincerely, K Sasi Kumar, Vandalur-48.           Hi,Good day!!! There are 4 Ultra Deluxe services starting from Chidambaram to Chennai as per the online portal. But out of the 4, 3 buses are new UD and one bus alone is a Super Deluxe instead o[censored]D service. This service usually starts @10PM from CDM to Chennai. This bus will be started at anytime in the 4 timings during night times.We are paying UD service charges in booking online, but we are getting a Super Deluxe bus class service. The seat condition is very bad and no push back. Yesterday when I travelled, there is a heavy rain and passengers seated near to window faces to stand whencome at night times eventhough they had made an advance booking.

          I even complained the same to drivers,conductors running that bus, and with the ticket counter(SETC @ CDM), and also complained to Cuddalore head office. No positive action taken yet

          It will be great if all the 4 services starting at night can be provided with UD service daily/atleast on Sundays where more people is travelling. Else, please change the service to Super Deluxe in online so that we can book accordingly. The charges also not getting refunded for plying a Super Deluxe services.

            I usually board the bus 100 C (Cheranma nagar to Gandhipuram) from mani school at 8:10am. The bus arrives at Gandhipuram and then leaves to Cheranmanagar via Ganapathi. The bus driver Mr.Shanmuganathan was driving the bus today(06,Aug,2013). It is the usual practice of him as not to stop the bus at bus stops. Also he reaches much earlier to Gandhipuram bus stand and leaves from there earlier too. The bus timing mentioned in the time sheet at Gandhipuram is arrival at 08:20am and departure at 08:25am. But he usually reaches by 08:15am and leaves immediately.

            I'm the regular passenger of that bus and board regularly from mani school travelling to vinayakapuram. Many time he will not stop the bus at mani school busstop. He stops only at the signal, if the red signal is turned on that too at the right side. If there is green signal he never stop at the bus stop. Not only at mani school, this happens in all the bus stops which is associated with signals.

            I've found this behavior annoying as i am forced to switch two buses and get an auto or taxi to Vinayakapuram from Ramakrishna mills or wait for for another 40 min to get another 100 C.

            This is not for the first time but it happens regularly. Today he repeated the same in spite of he noticing that the passengers are waiting for this bus. Added to that he reached Gandhipuram and did not stop there even for a minute.

            An immediate action is required to stop this activity. Either he need to follow the timing and stop at the bus stops or if he is not willing to stop at all bus stops he can be changed to route buses where frequent stopping is not required or either he can be posted to route where frequency of buses are more.

            Only two 100 C bus is running in that route and as it covers a remote area many people depend on those two buses. If we could't board into that bus as particular time we need to wait for another 1 hr to get another bus. We require a change in driver who can maintain the time and also stop at all the bus stops.

            We request the TNSTC department to take required steps to provide correct service for passengers.

            TNSTC — NOT STOPPING

            Hi,
            I am travelling from hosur to banglore daily while coming from bangalore no buses allowing to pickup hosur Passengers.

            We are facing lot of problemes while returning.

            Particularly salem, T.V malai buses

            I am staying in Chennai ECR, i have urgent work to do today so I came 10min before to the bus stop but the buses didn't stop in the bus stop l even there is not much people in the bus and i saw three buses and try to stop the buses but the bus driver didn't stop the bus . please take correct action.
            I am here to complaint for poor bus facility.In 7am there was only one bus in our locality.that was frequently not coming many of the school college students are suffering.kindly please make the bus to come regularly.otherwise we find many difficulty to go college regularly.

              Dear sir/mam',
              I work in a private organisation, an mnc named Honeywell automation India Ltd. My company has provided me laptop for my official works and I regularly carry my laptop during my site visits to various places like salem, karur, cuddalore. Today I started to salem from trichy for my regular site visit at malco, mettur by tnstc bus, carrying my office laptop with me. I paid the usual ticket fare of rs.85 towards travel from trichy to salem and got the ticket.The bus conductor asked me to take ticket for luggage charges against carrying laptop which weighs less than 3 kgs, a dell latitude e6410 model. I refused that since I have been travelling carrying my office laptop for years. He showed me a rule book mentioning luggage charges for computer, monitor, keyboard n other accessories. I explained him clearly that the computer meant a desktop n not a laptop. He refused to accept without any reasons and dropped me down from the bus at a remote bus-stop at an unusual time of 3.40am, returned the ticket amount and took away the ticket from me. This seriously undermines the purpose of laptops which we use for its portability.It raises questions on the improper understanding of the bus conductors and the revenue spent on educating and training them by the government. Requesting the concerned organisation to clarify and notify of any new rules imposed on luggage charges for carrying laptops

              What the hell is going on?? Hope he doesn't know the difference between laptop and desktop computer!! Conversations/Arguments are useless when the other person has no idea what I'm talking about!!!
              Government doesn't care about the people who involved in corruption, smuggling and carrying unwanted stuffs in public transportation.. I've seen many times that someone will give a parcel to the driver and he'll give it to the concern person who live miles away!! I'm pretty sure that they will not give tickets most of the times..It's legal in their view.. When a student/Employe/ public carry their laptop they should get an extra ticket!!! I'm using Mac book pro which is less than 1.5 kg... India Urupiturum😩😐😭 Laptop bag la iruntha ticket venamam, kaila irundha ticket vanganum!!! Ennama!! Ippadi panreengalay ma?? Feeling frustrated!!

              I was travelling from dindugul towards pollachi ... got a ticket to get down at reddiyarchatram in busTN57 N 1876... first of all conductor was rude for getting into express bus that doesn't have stop but had asked the prior before getting in and then for a ticket charge of 10 Rs for me and he charged 40 Rs for a small TV ( kalaignar TV)... I asked him in a polite way but the conductor was very rude abd spoke in a manner to just get down if I'm not paying ... just bcoz he is govt employee doesn't mean he should nt be polite... teach some behavioural classes for ur employees and don't loot out money taking 40 Rs for a 2 kg TV is too much .
              I travelled with my guitar many times but today they charged 85 rupees for it, actually it's 81 and I asked him to give 4rs but he said "we have only 5rps ticket ", first of all they charged which I never had before and next he not even returned the proper amount
              I'm from Trivandrum and I usually travel in trivandrum-nagercoil buses.. They refused to stop the bus in my stop.. ( Automobiles stop aralumoodu).. They said there is no stop for fast passengers.. Let me informe something.. All the kerala and tamilnadu fast passengers bus have bus stop in Automobiles (except super fast).. Not only my stop, I have seen many issues in tnstc bus. If they can't stop in proper stops.. Then they should it in the timing of giving tickets.. Also I had very bad experience frm the conductors (not all).. They keep asked about my personal details like my name, home, job and so.. Also I have heard once a conductor used bad word while he was talking or may be arguing to a girl.. Its just about the matter of stopping the bus in her stop.. IS THIS THE WAY OF TREATING A PASSENGER ????

              Please ask your conductors to say the reasons if they don't have change to return.. Also ask them to handle passengers calmly.. Is they are working in tnstc that not means they are the owners of the bus...

              Very bad experience ever from Vellore to Chennai today..
              I am travelling in bus no 221 from Central to kelambakkam...i am carrying a mini trolley bag which will fit in the cabin and less than 4 kgs... He charged a luggage charges from me. I am travelling with this bag every month for the last 2 years and no one asked for luggage charges. He has collected the money and also very rude to the passengers. Do you have any specific description in the bus which consider as luggage and which are not. Travel date 15th March 2019. CDJ0009 TN-01N-9789.
              I am ready to pay for luggage charges provided it is standard for all the buses and specifics are given inside the bus.one bus charging and another do not is not correct.

              Today i am carrying a fanbwith me from cmbt to mmbt. Conductor asked me take ticket equal fare of me. When i asked him to show rule book he asked me get down and was very rude shouting at me.
              Date 4/03/2021, time 10.30 pm in Rajapalayam to Kumily bus. TN -57 N 2319.
              The driver and conductor was getting high amount of rupees for luggage. I brought rice of 3 packs of each 25 kgs. It's a eatable product and as its a agriculture product also.
              They are giving a half ticket charge and asking extra 100 rupees. Passenger ticket is Rajapalayam to cumbum is per person 130 rupees . But they asked 300 for luggage. Initially they asked 390 rupees. For my bargain they reduced 290 rupees. For my untime condition, I paid. So please kindly required action to both of him.

              I too had a bitter experience in Bus no TN 33 N 3287 ( Erode to Mettur). I was carrying a printer with me that too in standing, in a bag from Erode to Bhavani. Conductor Lakshmanamoorthi charged me Rs.12 for that though ticket charge for me is Rs.10. I should have hidden my printer with cloths or something like that. Really, it's irritating. Even if I hold printer in my hand, conductor said he will charge that luggage. - Kiruthika

              Ottanchathiram to coimbatore...one old lady buying something and going coimbatore..The conductor he is very anger to the lady and he said " give 50 ruppes...ur luggage is there...But the luggage is only 2 கட்டப்பை...but he gave 50 rupees..it's too much...This issue only happen in government bus...
              Just came across this forum while searching for rules and regulations for carrying a laptop in tnstc buses. Can anyone here clarify about carrying a laptop. Whether it is specified in the tnstc rules?? Because just now my bus conductor asked me to hide my laptop as there may be checking and laptop is supposed to be charged as a luggage... I thought only more than 20 kgs or business ppl who transport computers/laptops will be charged for the luggage as I'm carrying neither and it's a personal use one which I use for my office work. I don't usually carry it every day just a day or two in a whole month.. it's not even 3-4 kgs .. so would appreciate if the ACTUAL rules of tnstc are shared by anyone... Thank you..

                Yesterday i travel in one tnstc bus(LSS).The bus no:TN 33 n 2931.Its from Vellokovil to Erode. I boarded at Molapalayam Nallroad.
                It is the worst time in my life.Because the conductor misbehaved with me because of not having change.Its a 14 rupees ticket.
                As i did not have 4 rupees change,he scold me and speak unneccesary words .I am working as a software engineer in bangalore.
                I did not tolerate that words, till now.he speak to one younger person like me,so i am fine.but if he
                Speak like that to some heart persons and older persons means,they only affect.because of this conductor i suffered a lot yesterday

                Today(28/05/2014) I was travel from Anna Nagar to Ambattur Estate at (10pm-11 pm) clock time .the Bus No is TN 01 N 8445 .The conductor behave like Rowady(Local Dada) I never seen such Conductor in my life, he is very worst, He speak too bad language against me.

                Because the conductor misbehaved with me because of not having change.Its a 13 rupees ticket.
                As i did not have 3 rupees change, he scold me and speak unneccesary words. please take necessary action against him .
                My name is gunasekar. i am working professional in ambattur.
                I boarded in Bus No. TN-68N 285 at 3:15 Pm approp from Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu On 1st April 2015. I got into the bus due to availability of window seat because I am not medically fit to sit in other seat. When bus arrived to Puducherry bus stand Conductor came and asked to vacate the seat as somebody else is expected to sit there. I requested him to arrange any other window seat but he got angry and started shouting with use o[censored]nparliamentary language. Finally I compramise with other seat. I request the team to take strict action against such bus staffs to make our journey convinient and comfortable.

                Poor maintenance of the bus

                I was travel with my family on 18/10/2014, from Coimbatore to Nagercoil at 08:00PM, bus maintenance was very poor, bus jumping continuously, dirty seats, water leakage in windows side.

                  A government bus plying to chennai from vandavasi, stopped at the stop of poonammallee on 13/07/2013 at around 3:45, bus registration tn 09 8103 (supposedly vfrom vandavasi depot) and the conductor of the bus told only people travelling to koyambedu having re.4/- change can board the bus. He abused in a very uncivilised manner, using utmost foul language and pushing the ladies who had boarded down the footboard. I want some immediate action to be taken against him.

                      While Travelling from Salem to Vijayamangalam (comes Under Erode District) i have noticed that passengers Travelling from Salem whose destination point after Perundurai will be considered as Travelling from Salem to tiruppur irrespective of the place they get down. And i enquired the conductor about this , his reply which irritated me was we dont have proper tickets books, so we are issuing full(Salem to Tiruppur) tickets. I felt that the reply given by conductor was irresponsible. So i want the TNSTC authorities to look in to this and provide proper tickets. Because we dont want to pay for the place which we dont travel.

                        I booked a eticket (Rs.301) on 8.3.13 from chennai to karur (bus no. 429UD) at 8.05 pm . Actually the bus start in chennai cmbt at 8.45 pm and they take printout of passenger list at 8.02 pm , so my name is missed in passenger list. they alloted my sheet to unreserved passenger. i picked up only in perungalathur only. the conductor checked my name in passenger list. it was missing and another passenger(unreserved passenger) hired in my sheet. The conductor not accept my ticket and i forced to take new ticket(Rs. 255), and i travelled without sheet. Totally i paid Rs.556 for travel with no sheet.The whole night i m not sleep well. It is very irritated to me. Is there any possible to refund my money?
                        i found the printout time of the passenger list while i checking my name in passenger list which is shown by conductor.

                                I am sakthi my residence place is Chennai.
                                I have one complaint at viluppuram bus transport.
                                I went pondi to cennai at the date of 9/12/2012. My reservation number is 13618. Travelling bus number is TN 21 N 1368 but my ticket was different bus number.
                                My ticket bus number was TN 21 N 1213 is thiruthani tippo bus ticket. My complaint is I want to go Pondi to Thiruvanmiyur but he give a ticket at end of stage (CMBT) ticket. I paid the extra money from thiruvanmiyur to CMBT i told the conductor Mr.karthikeyan why I want pay extra money. But he is not response to my words and he told unwanted words from me, if you have any complaint means go and asked any one officer or minister then he give a challenge to me you cannot do nothing.
                                Bus seat capacity 57+2 but he allowed extra 29 persons that means totally 88 persons was travelled that bus. He stoped at all every bus stops.
                                THIS IS A SPECIAL BUS OR VILLAGE BUS?
                                Monday to Saturday regular bus how it changed at special bus at Sunday only? And also it is ordinary seats not any special seat.

                                    Buses arriving from rural areas are parked on PH road in Arumbakkam creating havoc to the traffic in the morning hours. this must be stopped by authoritieso .the drivers park the bus on the road and go to the nearly tea shops for theis breakfast. Polices do not have the courage to take action because transport dept. do not respect polices as their union is strong.

                                    Govt. Should take necessary action.,

                                      Recently, I booked a bus ticket from Salem to Bangalore on 13/10/2012. The class of bus is Ultra Deluxe IS. Departure time of the bus was 23:59.

                                      As a passenger, I am not happy with the service and money collected from me with other passengers.

                                      Problems in the bus:

                                      * The bus was having problem in the backside wheels and having the problem with Shocking observer. During the full time travel the bus was Jumping and so much noise and rain water came in to the bus. The bus is not have a good control for Drivers.

                                      * The gear box having problem, so the noise level were more.

                                      * The silencers & Tool box from back side are making more noises.

                                      * No complaint box.

                                      * No First Aid Box.

                                      The passenger travelled in the bus scolded more and they were not happy with the Tamilnadu bus service with this facilities. Also most of the peoples are murmuring that the KSRTC bus is more better than the TNSTC.

                                      I travelled earlier in the same bus and compliant to the Conductor. He was saying that we are not responsible for it sir & go and report to the office(TNSTC Salem Branch). I did so by explaining the problem with the bus but no action taken care when i was travelling again on 13/10/2012.

                                      Request: My request is to stop the bus service until the bus fully serviced (or) running in the route with new bus. And the same bus should not be run anyother route before service, The bus will kill many number of people travelling on the road including passengers. The Officers should be punished including RTO's.

                                      (I request you to travel in this bus one time and take my compliant with more serious.)

                                      The bus service from vellore to bangalore is very pathatic. The condition of bus in not good and it is exactly like a town bus and paying ticket for such a transpotation is waste. No proper action is taken on any complains.

                                        Hi,
                                        Sep 8, 2012 travelled from Bangalore to Salem by Tamil Nadu transport - Salem. The bus started in Bangalore at 10:30 PM.Once bus started to move from bangalore the bus conductor switched on Audio system with full sound. As a passengers we have given to request switch off the audio system or reduce the sound. But simply they ignored and abused who has given the request. They were speaking if you want to reach salem be quite and go to you sit. They used some bad words also. They are treating very badly. Till salem they didnt switch off the audio system. My sincere request would be tamilnadu transport corporation should take action to remove audio and video system from long journey bus. The bus no is: TN 30 N 1066.

                                        We are not sure about bus conductor and driver's name. Please try to take action on removing video and audio system.
