Tata AIG Insurance — worst company to settle claim | |
I had car insurance from tata-aig for 35k + which cover 0 depreciation. I had scratches on car while parking in public area. I raised a claim for insurance. They were not ready to settle the amount after giving police acknowledgement. The person said they need fir for this. As his intention was not good i raised a complain for it and requested for change of person who inspected my vehicle. After many calls they did not do anything and keep on saying that they need more document (Fir copy) etc. I raised grievance and moved till 3rd level (Highest level) still the same person was giving reply to my email in all levels and nothing happened. They also closed the case with out informing me. I had to reopened it by calling customer care. They were no intention to settle the claim. Before moving to ombudsman i called the tata-aig representative for resolution (Mr alok - he handles ombudsman cases). He was very kind and polite and said to resolve issue in 1 week. He asked for vehicle inspection. I went to mg road for inspection as he said he know best person very well. After that he vanished and did not pick my phone or no further communication. Later i got to know that he was building his case against me to represent it in ombudsman. Such a lire these people are and unprofessional. I send my request to ombudsman and got my car repaired and as per clause they have to pay me 8% of additional amount as penalty. Tata-aig did not pay the amount by again saying that all document was not proper. I was able to recover partial amount from them by chasing for 1 year. They are highly unprofessional, rude, unfaithful, lire and cheater. No one should take insurance from them. I am attaching the pic shows number of cases ombudsman had on single day from them.
