Hi Team,
I had a interview for 2017 batch hiring today(11 Feb, 2018) at Bangalore. I was not allowed to attend the interview although all my documents are complete and no backlog history and no percentage issue. TCS representative informed me that my education gaps are more than 24 months.
Sir, I have only 24 months of gap after class 12 with following details:
Passing year of class 12 : 2011
Gap period : 2011 to 2013 (24 months, submitted affidavit as per the TCS rules for 24 months)
B.tech education : 2013 to 2017.
B.tech passed out in 2017.
TCS representative did not allow me to attend the interview as they are also counting all the months since I passed passed B.tech i.e 2017 till Jan, 2018. Thus according to them it is going for than 24 months. The following points are very important :
1) As per the guideline of TCS, gap "during" education is counted not after completing education, and thus TCS allows gaps for 24 months which satisfy my condition.
2)this is TCS's first offcampus drive for 2017 batch in Jan, 2018.
3)Tcs nowhere has mentioned that at the time of joining TCS (i.e March, 2018) total gaps should be 24 months.
3) Please refer the lines below sent by TCS for interview :
"It is mandatory to declare the gaps/arrears/backlogs, if any, during your academic and/or work experience. Break in education should not be due to extended education. Any break in education/work experience should not exceed 24 months and is permissible only for valid reasons. Relevant document proof, as applicable, will be checked for gaps in education."
I, therefore, request you all to look into my issue and provide me justice to attend the interview process.
Please do the needful at the earliest.
I am sending you the instructions screenshot regarding year gap which was sent to me during the online test in the hall ticket.
