Dear All, It was with great pride that I decided to choose TATA Nexon over other foreign brands as I was looking for a change of my current Car. Having used Ford brands earlier - Ikon and now Figo this time around felt to go Indian. TATA, being a brand that remained ethical and also the recent gestures of humanity especially the offering of Hospital at Kasargode in Kerala during COVID-19 among many would have influenced my choice of Nexon over others and was rather excited as I test drove, booked, and started my anxious waiting for my turn of allotment. To my dissatisfaction and fading interest after having waited over 2 months now, I am just trying hard to hold on to my "Made in India by Indian" pride rather I am really on the verge of looking beyond "by Indian" and trying to convince myself that few other options are also Made in India, but it's just that a foreign brand made it for me. This mail is just to let the relevant officials know about my change of choice over TATA (rather unhappily) and adding to it that I just couldn't buy the dealer reply that I need to wait further for my allotment. As a global brand, I don't see any reason that TATA would under-produce vehicles with a wait time of over 60 days in such a competitive environment and if true that's tough to digest. I truly believe gone are those Bajaj days where Customers waited for months for allotments. Summing up with a humble request that a quick turn around of my booking can still let me hold on to the pride of "Made in India by Indian".
