[Resolved] Tata Sky — Deducting money continuously after recharging, cheating senior citizens | |
My parents being senior citizens staying alone, were given a firetv stick along with a new Tata sky connection and told it was free along with the connection. They don't have a broadband connection nor know how to use apps like hotstar prime video Netflix etc. For which they were being charged for more than a year. For a year they kept recharging when their tatasky was deactivated. Meanwhile they had not even opened the firetv stick box since it was not of any use to them. Me and my husband stay outstation in delhi. My parents stay here in Allahabad. When I came to visit them in January I realised that they were doing this since one year and registered a compaint with tata sky they said that we can do anything amount the money deducted please recharge to reactivate the account and if you don't require these Netflix amazon prime video hotstar etc... Return the device. We agreed to return the device, and we're told that a tatasky associate would come to collect the firetv stick device. In spite of calling them multiple times nobody came from tatsky, we then recharged for an annual pack for one year hindi basic pack connection and returned back to delhi. When I returned a month ago (6 months later) to my parents place I realised they had again deducted half the amount I had recharged for the annual pack... More than 2000 rupees had been deducted from the 4100 we had recharged for an annual basic hindi pack. On further inspection I realised they were still charging us for the firetv stick and hotstar + connection, even after nobody had come to collect the firetv device from my parents. Due to the faults of Tata sky lack of information given to senior citizens and tatasky has just taken advantage of senior citizens to extract money. They are both not working no income and been taken advantage of. After complaining again to tatasky they again are just saying we can't do anything about money deducted and sorry about that. I want my parents to be compensated by tatasky for this loss and headaches from tatasky and our tatasky connection to be reactivated. Was this information helpful? | |
