[Resolved]  Tata Sky — highly inefficient service for new installation.

I booked a new connection on 16 may 2018 thru your call centre and they advised me to pay rs 2000.00 for a HD set top box which included a free ultra pack for a month with all channels included, which i agreed.i was given an id [protected].. some guy by name asif came and installed your wiring set-top box etc and took rs. 2000.00 from me in cash as he said that i hv to pay cash and must not pay online. he did not give me any receipt or documentation for the transaction. totally 4 metres of extra wiring was done which he said that i have to pay rs 96.00 which i should pay when i recharge after a month.
my pack was activated on that day.
now my trouble and harrasment started.
after two days, my pack was de activated.i frantically started calling up your call centre. it was around 1945 hrs in the evening. i would like to mention here that we put on the tv only between 2000 to 2130 hrs only for the purpose of watching the english news.the person who took my call couldnt speak properly neither could he solve my problems. i asked him to put me on to some senior, and after holding on for 15-20 minutes some jyothi came on the line. i explained my problems to her and after telling over all things again and again she couldnt do anything and diverted my call to someone else.once again after a long wait some else came on the line and the same story was repeated after which my complaint was lodged and a complain no 155dsq6b was given to me. i was also told that my id no was changed from [protected] to [protected], the reason i do not know of. all to gether i must have spoken around 60 to 70 minutes from my paid telephone no. i spoke to vinay, jyothi, roshni, ajit and ganesh. no body helped me out neither has any cognisance been taken on my complaint yet.
fortunately i had taken the personal numbers of the technician who had come to install, and also the numbers of their office staff. as my tv was not activated, i called up their office and spoke to mr farook on [protected], and asked him how can my tv get deactivated within two days inspite of making the full payment in cash. after holding for a very longtime again, he told me that as i had not paid my rs 96.00 for the extra wiring, my tv was de activated.i told him that his tecnician had told me to pay the amount after i recharge after a month, he had nothing to say but asked me to re change rs 100.00 on line. as i am not savvy with any online transactions, it was with great difficulty that i had to get in touch with my son who is abroad, and he had to recharge it from there after which the tv was activated.
everything ws fine for a week, after which suddenly the tv was deactivated. again the same old torturous process took place between me and your call centre without any result.
frustrated, i had to again call up that farook who after a long wait told me that there was some problems in the system and it was their mistake and he will activate it immediately and i will not face any problems again. for two days it worked well and again today, the tv is de activated. i did not bother to call your call centre today as i did not want to waste my time, energy, money and mental peace speaking to mechanised voices who only keeps on repeating " maafi chata hoon", without solving my problems.
today 04 june at 1500 hrs i called the mechanics office and spoke to mr amir as farook was not available. he promised to activate the tv in 5-10 minutes. now it is 1930 hrs and still it has not been done. inbetween i called him many times but he just disconnects my call. i just do not know what to do. i am completed frustrated, with this unproductive callous attitude of TATA SKY TEAM. without PRE-JUDICE, i want you to disconnect your connection, refund me the full amount of Rs. 2100.00 which i have paid to you and also compensate me for all the viewing time lost and for all the mental tensions you have given me. if you fail to do this, then i wil initiate any legal actions deemed fit. ifall these problems occur within a span of 15 days of a new connection, i wonder what will happen if i continue to remain a long time subscriber.
