[Resolved] Tata Sky — relocation charges of rs. 300 for updating my pincode which I did not initiate | |||
I had called tata sky to complain against no signal on my tv. While the complaint was registered some technician called and asked for address which was provided. Then he went on to say that the pincode is incorrect in the system, for which i said it is not my issue as initially i had provided the correct pin but they recorded the incorrect pin and it really doesn't matter as i am not receiving any mailers from them anyway. The service provider went on to register the pin change and marked the complaint as a "relocation request" It was neither a "relocation" nor was my issue resolved immediately. Subsequently the signal was restored and i was charged rs. 300 for "relocation charges". Upon complaining the tata sky help desk mentioned that any change in address, even pin change is considered as relocation and there will be a charge for this. This is the biggest fraud that can ever be committed by any service provider and i sincerely hope trai takes action against these guys. I have since decided to cancel my tata sky connection as i don't want to deal with such frauds. Was this information helpful? | |||
