[Resolved] Tata Sky — Unauthorized charges Frequent Changes of Set top box | |||||
Tata sky service is really bad, very bad !!! I am Priyanka Saha Das and my consumer no - [protected] I AM THE CONSUMER OF TATA SKY FROM LAST 5 YEARS.. USING HD PACKAGE, ALMOST RS. 500/MONTH... My problem started from last 4 months. The set top box automatically gets on and off offten and either it gets on after few minutes or if we put off and then start. Before 3 months, on December, 2016 I called up Customer Care and described about the problems of set top box which I was facing. They told me their technician will come and resolved my problem. On the next day technician came and told me, the set top box has to be changed and I have to pay Rs. 600 for that. I agreed. Then technician has installed an old set top box and said there will not be any problems which I was facing. Then I have given him Rs. 200 cash for visiting charges and after that they have deducted Rs. 600 from my Tata Sky account for changes of set top box. But main problem is that again I was facing the same problem from last 15 days . Again I called up customer care, Technician came again. First day after testing and doing something they said now it is OK... Again I have paid Rs. 200 cash for visiting charges... and in the same day night again I was facing same problem and after calling to customer care, next day again technician came and was trying to make an eye wash with two set top box and again said now it is OK. Again I have paid Rs. 200 and he went. I was really surprised in the night when I have seen my Tata Sky has been deactivated due to negative balance whereas I was having Rs. 178 on that day. When I called up customer care they told me they have charged again Rs. 600 for changes of set of Box... And main thing is that now customer care is saying that since the warranty period of set of box is only 1 month, I have to pay the amount otherwise they will not activate my account. That means in every 1/2 month same problem will arise and they will charge Rs. 800 for unnecessarily from us for the junk. IT IS NOT WORTH PAYING SO MUCH AMOUNT IN ADDITION TO THE TATA SKY PACKAGE. You can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will arrange for a callback and assist you accordingly. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and provide an amicable resolution.
