[Resolved]  Tata Sky — wrong information provided and cheating customer with wrong marketing add

This is to let you know that we have installed tata sky dish tv through 2 agents who came from unisysn enterprises. We were approached by 2 agents from the unisysn enterprises by the names lavanya with phone
Number [protected] and karthik with the phone number [protected] on 6th of october. They have given an estimate of rs 2750 per one connection with full hd box and if taken 2 at the same time it would be rs 1550 for the 2nd connection. We have taken 2 connections for rs 4250. Paid through cheque and firstly the installation was promised with in 3 days and the installation happened on the 10th of october and at the time of booking the connection, both these executives have inspected the house and where the connection was supposed to get installed, they mentioned that it would be less than 20 meters of wiring but during installation it actually took 36 meters and we were forced to pay for addition 16 meters and the connection was disconnected as the amount was not paid for the wiring though there was balance in the tata sky account.

We were told that these boxes are full hd and when we have asked about the information on the same as there was no such information on the website, and then they said these are available only with the dealers, when enquired with the other dealers we were told that there are no such fhd box which is available.

These people also mentioned on the letter stating the connection is free 2 months out of which 1 month is for hd and 2 months is for regular channels, how ever i see that the message appears on 20th october that the subscription would expire on 21st october, then where is the question of the free subscription they have explained?

They mentioned that the remote that comes with the tata sky is universal and we need not use the regular tv remote unlike in hathway regular cable connection, when asked if it would work for all the tv's he said yes including the portable crt tv which is one of the connection, upon research and i clarified them that it would not work for the portable and then they apologized and mentioned that it would work for the lg 43" tv for sure where as when the installation happens it appears to be the same which is in the case of hathway cable tv.

They mentioned that from a box there can be 4 connections drawn, 2 connections would be filled and 2 would be emplty and can be used any time in future for installation, where as when i see the receiver it is a 2 connection receiver only and when asked, they said you will have to pay additional for the 4 receiver box at the time of installation of the remaining 2 tv's in future.

Regarding the recharge she mentioned that the recharge will be for 220 and additional for english and news, wen i see the details for hd we need to pay additional 90 which she did not mention and she clearly stated that the hd channels would come in dhamal pack in 220 which was completely in correct.

When we called lavanya to ask about this, she has been ignoring our calls and not attending them, finally we called karthik and he said he would come down along with her in order to solve the issue personally instead of logging in a complaint officially, he was supposed to come on 17th october and he did not turn up and he said he would make it on 20th october at 5 pm which he did not turn up and that lady, lavanya still does not answer the customer's query calls, she is only interested in taking the new connections and payments for it, such an illegal practice for marketing.

Adding to this; the installation person mentioned that tata sky pays them lesser salary around 10k so they would take minimum of 300 from the customer during installation.

I would seriously urge the tata sky management to take a serious action against these fraud marketing ideas for booking the new connections. I beleive tata as an organisation will take care of this unless they too are interested in promoting their products in an illegal manner. Soon this would be pasted on the social media as well.

When I tried turning on my TV a message was displayed stating that a pairing error occurred.
Please resolve this issue at the earliest possibility

Hi! Remove the card and wipe it with a soft dry cloth, insert it back(The Tata Sky logo should be upward
and the arrow pointing towards the Set-top box) and let us know the status.
