[Resolved] Tikona — receiving threatening calls from tikona employees | |||||
I was a customer of tikona from dec-2016 to april-2017 in noida. Then i relocated to a sector in noida itself where tikona broadband service is not yet available. I called tikona customer care to discontinue my broadband account as i was relocating. But you people did not stop the services and kept on charging me for next three months. I was unaware about it as i have not receive any call or email from tikona regading my bill till date. Few days back i received anonymous call from mr. Jakir stating that he is calling from outside some court in kashmiri gate and i need to pay my due bill rs 4000 which also includes penalty of rs 2000. I agreed to pay only the billing amount and not the penalty, which i should not have agreed to as i did not use the services and also informed the same to tikona customer care before relocating. But that person threatened me to file a case against me if i do not pay the bill in next 15 min. I got his call back in next 15 min and i asked him to proceed with the case. Today i received an anonymous call again from ms varsha singh claiming that she is an advocate in delhi civil dept. She stated that my due bill amount is rs 1841. And if i pay the bill by end of today then my file will be closed, otherwise it will be processed for further legal actions and my document which was submitted as a proof for connection will be banned for further usage for next 25 years. I am very disappointed if all these cheap tactics are folloowed by tikona in order for a customer to pay a bill which he/she is not liable to pay. I would like to ask you few things: 1. Why was my connection still continued when i asked customer care to stop it? 2. Why was my connection still continued when i did not pay my postpaid bill. It should have been discontinued within a month as a rule by every other service provide. 3. Why i did not receive any mail or call regarding my bill before these threatening calls. Is tikona aware about such calls as i believe it is a part of their service in order to threaten a customer to pay the due bill. Ps: i checked the contact numbers of anonymous calls i received in truecaller app. They all are registered in the name of tikona itself.
