Torrent Power — Grievance regarding high bill-domestic service no. 3289957 | |||
My address: Sanjay agrawal Commissioner of income tax C802, aayakar vihar, B/h dhanajay tower, Ahmedabad-380051 Phone:[protected] [protected] As i received very high bill for billing month june 2017 at rs. 20087/- for consumption of 2804 units, i made a complaint. Please note that we are only 3 family members in the house. There are 24 flats of similar type vi configuration in the govt colony and on comparing, i find that average bill of other flats was about rs. 8000/-. There is no reason for such high consumption at my house as all similarly placed officers of same age group with similar standard of living and 3-4 members family size are residing. The installation of airconditioners and other appliances is immaterial as the actual usage will determine the consumption. The persons who came for testing, could not explain the procedure or principle behind the equipment, they were carrying. When they came at 5pm, no airconditioner or lights were on. Just 2 fans were running. I asked them to make note of it. The asked me to switch on 2 more fans and went to meter room. Then they gave ok report. I objected that the testing should have been at full load and they should explain the procedure too. How they have put limit of 0.99% just in 5 minutes? How they put load figure at 750watts and power factor at 0.94%, only torrent knows, as those persons said that these are as per procedure? But they did not know either the procedure or the principle behind their equipment and why they were putting load of only 300 watts? I dispute the meter test report which should be done over a longer period and at different loads with reference to a standard meter by qualified personnels who should be able to explain the procedure. Further, my bill payment should accordingly remain suspended till revision and resolution of my grievance. Or i be allowed to pay rs. 8000 as per normal average bills. As the earlier bills too have been on higher side, the credit should be allowed for those bills too. The torrent should also show the total consumption for all domestic meters in c block and show that they are not overcharging the consumers. Request for early resolution.
