Dear sir Today morning my son took his vehicle to your service centre cochin tvs, sa road vyttila. The counter people refused to accept the vehicle for service stating that they need an advance to accept the vehicle for service. I am working at kothamangalam and hence i was not in a position to accompany him. But he immediately telephone me and informed their demand. I said that i am ready to pay advance, but to inform me the estimated cost of service. The person at your end was rather rude and he Told me that the cost can be informed only after the work is completed. I too was rather annoyed by his words. If the demand after service is one lakh, whether i have to pay it. The person who attended my call told me that i have to wait till noon to get the estimate. Too bad service of a repted firm liketvs. I called the general number of your service centre and from the receptionist there i got connected to sales manager. I narrated the full story to him. He told me that he will enquire the matter and call me back. But till this time he has not contacted me. Finally they have prepared a so called estimate. Some amounts are written on one side and some items on the other. No relation to the amount and items. Nobody care to see the exact demand to the vehicle. The person who prepared the estimate seems to have a grudge for the untoward things happend in the morning which has reflected in the estimate. The estimated amount is rs 16000 and he demanded an advance of rs 5000. I have immediately paid the advance. But i request an independant examination of the vehicle by another mechanic to ascertain the exact needs and also a fresh estimate. (Copy of estimate enclosed) In the slip provided the expected delivery date is not mentioned. When asked the reply is 2 to 3 days. Whether 2 days or 3 days. Not certain. Whether this cochin tvs Is a reputed authorised dealer of tvs or a pan shop. No estimate, taking advance for servicing, no specific dates for delivery. I have given car, scooters, bikes etc for servicing but this is my fisrt experience. Really great. I request an independent examination of the vehicle by another mechanic to ascertain the exact needs and also a fresh estimate.
