Tvs Motor Company — My Grievance with Om TVS Service Centre

Dear Sir,

This is with reference to my complaint number TVS_Gr_[protected] registered with TVS Motor for my Bike No. DL 5746.

I raised a request for replacing the silencer of my Bike on 11th June'21 and was told that it would be with them in 2-3 days. After which they called me up after 10 days to come to the service centre and I went there. Then they changed the silencer of my Bike but when I looked at the silencer, it was very old and rusted so I immediately questioned them on it but they said that this is what the company is providing now and no new silencer is being supplied to their service centre. So they went ahead and replaced it. But the problem was still there after replacement and when I asked them about this they further told me about some part of the silencer (called silencer packing) which was not available with them and again asked me to come after 3-5 days which I think is unprofessional on part of a branded company like TVS.

Prior to this I faced a problem about 6 months back also wherein, the gear of the same bike was making a loud noise while gear shifting. The repair person charged me Rs 345 for replacing it but it was still not solved. He in fact said that TVS would be calling me to the service centre as he himself was not satisfied with the repair that he gave and assured me that it would be followed up and sorted. But till date, no one has called me ever on this and I am continuing to face that gear issue till now.

Strangely enough this all started a year ago with the number plate light on the back side of the bike which was fused and was to be replaced but was never done as the service centre did not have the spare lightbulb.

All these happened at the same service centre which is based out of Okhla Phase 2 industrial area by the name of Om TVS Service Centre. The staff there is very unprofessional and denies availability of any spare parts. Twice I did a prior booking over the phone and was assigned token number 11 but when I reached there sharp at 9:30 am I was made to stand in queue and they gave me a token number of 49 which is not justified and does not solve the purpose of prior booking. The service at this centre is absolutely pathetic and hell bent on irritating the customers. TVS should either close this or take strict action against them otherwise a trusted brand like TVS will end up in losing its valuable customers
