On 08/05/18 at 8:12 pm i booked a pool ride with uber. The suggested fair was ₹39.52. Later i found that the assisted uber driver cancelled the ride before picking me up which automatically assisted me another uber driver.
The moment i reached my destination mentioned ¬on uber app i found that i was charged ₹99.35 instead of ₹39.52. I repeatedly wrote to uber in the help section of its app & on its various twitter accounts. The case went on back & forth.
Finally they ended up not replying or refunding me my differing money from the actual suggested fair. Later they came up with an excuse saying that the suggested distance of the ride would cost you what actually we charged you. Further, uber has a policy. If you cancel its ride it charges you for that.
That’s where when its 1st assigned driver cancelled the ride i stuck to it rather than cancelling it. Also, there was no pop-up notification suggesting the changes made in the fair. I'm surly not the only customer who's been shown lower fair, attractive enough to fall for this trap & later get looted.
Attached images which suggest economy rides, it clearly mentions the fair of ₹39.52 for the pool ride which is a common fair throughout the day on uber pool rides under its economy rides.
