Uber India — Deducted fare twice and not refunding the money | |
I had just started using Uber with the number [protected]. I hadn't set any payment method. This Uber app auto-synced the method of payment with my amazon account. Since I was unaware of this, I was paying the driver in cash and the fare was getting deducted from my amazon pay too. This happened for initial 3 rides (details given below): 1. 22 Aug at 1.57 pm - Rs. 429.27 2. 25 Aug at 11.05 pm - Rs. 76.70 3. 27 Aug at 12.32 pm - Rs. 173.97 And then one day while I was checking my amazon account, I noticed these deductions made to Uber. Immediately I asked for Uber support to refund Rs. 683 which has been paid twice till now. Also, I shared the snapshots of these fare deductions from my amazon pay. They were not ready to refund the amount and none of the drivers (for those 3 rides) informed me that the payment is already done online. When I am asking for refund, they are just saying that the payment in cash is done for a non-cash trip so we won't be refunding the amount. This is how they are cheating their customers of their hard-earned money. Kindly help with the issue. Was this information helpful? | |
